ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

Is obviously the done thing, like buying dresses at ASOS, to sign your name twice! Is this to celebrate the forthcoming doubling of the ASOS price? Sorry, John John, no better buying opportunity than now as the price will be up, up and away by Christmas. Just look at the buying trades going through and hardly a speck of red to be seen. Now, what would be better than buying an ASOS dress for Christmas, yes, yes, your right, ASOS shares! Have recently transferred 1000 to each of four children in ASOS shares at 68p; they are hugely impressed with their growth - and Dad's skill!

This could be an omen for ASC to double!! Eric my laugh for the day-thanks.

EWRobson - 24 Nov 2004 17:46 - 805 of 5941

Final top up before interims - via a cfd to give a bit of gearing. Signal for price to drop, of course, with a spate of selling in the last half hour. Probably closing of positions. Good time to buy first thing tomorrow! Happier to go with that nice chap, moneyplus! lol!

with only one more trading day to their interim results I would have to say that the rush that i expected to get into ASOS before it announced even more good news just has not happened. Still could go north tomorrow. I was expecting this to be the charge that tokk it to the coveted 1.

johngtudor - 25 Nov 2004 15:41 - 807 of 5941

Another note on ASOS marketing exposure:- today in London the free to commuters tabloid 'The Metro' has a supplement on Xmas shopping packed full of ASOS goodies.
If I may say so this is a well aimed and targetted hit at it's target audience. Just thought I would add this item to the BB for those of you living outside the great City!

capa - 25 Nov 2004 15:45 - 808 of 5941

Not just London John, the Metro has even reached us up here in the provinces !!

capa: OOPPSS, don't go North of the river as much as I should! Glad to hear it nevertheless! Roll on those sales. John

hilluk - 25 Nov 2004 20:33 - 810 of 5941

RNS issued @ 17.35p.m. announcing that Man now have 3,185,000 shares representing approx. 4.49%. They obviously have confidence that next Monday will be worth waiting for.

capa - 26 Nov 2004 08:48 - 811 of 5941

Don't think this is MAN themselves but the total holding on behalf of their clients.

I was looking for a triple whammie by Monday with ASC, PET and YOO all coming up to key events: hopefully getting two out of three! Well, YOO came back from voluntary suspension today with what is probably good news for the company but bad news for ordinary shareholders. A reverse takeover with shares total up to 450 million (up 180%) which dilutes holding horribly. Immoral, in my view, in that not a rights issue but a placing by the recently fined evolution group. Placing is at 150 and price ended the day at 19.5p. Little short-term progress looks likely. johngtudor view needed please (also earthport if you have time)!

PET is the big hope and there are rumours of a conference on Monday re the Iraqi oil contracts.

ASC has interims next week (monday) as do BNH (tuesday) and CYH (thursday). CYH is the week's big mover carrying through the rise from recent announcements and probably buying ahead of the results. The problem to overcome is the change in accounting policy which delays benefits from business won.

CCN, CFP and MPH all appear to be held back through lack of news. SEO is still benefitting from the contract announcement with ASDA. PCI and SEY still trade actively without significant movement or significant news.

Been out of action most of the week or, better, wrong sort of action (decorating at son's) so may have missed significant event(s).

Here's to ASC, PET, BNH and CYH for next week for some really positive news to initiate the festive season!

SEADOG - 28 Nov 2004 07:51 - 813 of 5941

been out of action myself this week (booze cruise to France for Xmas), but once again up to date, thanks to all posters, up early tomorrow to catch the results, which I hope have not already been discounted in the price. SD

EWRobson - 28 Nov 2004 21:48 - 814 of 5941

SEADOG

The results themselves may already be in the price given that we know the level of the first 5 months trading, so the key thing is the picture with regard to current trading for the Xmas season. If this is fairly general in the Interim results then more specific information should be part of the analysts briefing at 12 noon. Two bites at the cherry! Probably best to hold for follow-up comment, capturing a wider audience, before profit taking.

willfagg - 29 Nov 2004 08:26 - 815 of 5941

as the share price collapses on the news of increased trading and converting loss to profit! >>>>nothing changes? with the recent drop of their highs I thought they were cheap before today started!I obviously have not got a clue

frodo - 29 Nov 2004 08:44 - 816 of 5941

My sentiments exactly willfagg. A sobering experience to learn from

seb190774 - 29 Nov 2004 08:53 - 817 of 5941

BIG COLLAPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Where can the share price go down up to ? any ideas.

seb

willfagg - 29 Nov 2004 08:57 - 818 of 5941

maybe this is just a bout of profit takers? I would have thought its as cheap as it can go, but what do i know? i thought it would break a 1 today!!

SEADOG - 29 Nov 2004 09:03 - 819 of 5941

Lets wait as EW says until 1200 when the analists have a briefing. the price is slowly moving back up !!!!

iceberg - 29 Nov 2004 09:24 - 820 of 5941

Ealier this year we saw a similar collapse in the price which soon recovered. As EW says, lets wait until noon for encoraging news.

SEADOG - 29 Nov 2004 09:29 - 821 of 5941

Sellers are 750K buyers 530K at 0927 so its not a one way street, an opportunity to top up ????????
