Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

that certainly wasn't my opinion and nor did i write anything remotely resembling that
for that matter TM made a very measured announcement commensurate with the gravity of the affair - i believe this sort of thing follows a recognised protocol

TM was playing to her remaining party faithfuls.
Trying to hang on to "power."
What did she say about Bushes bombing of Iraq with a death toll of over 250,000?
She needed a distraction from her Brexit failures.

I really think Fred is suffering from some mental illness and should be humoured from now on.

fred is off on his usual diversionary tactics
sent him to stand in the corner until he learns to be even half way sensible ..... that may be decades away

Manuel.
Not at all.
I am directing your attention back to brexit and the latest resolution of all the UK's problems.
But I would like to know where the £5million went.
Did it go into the coffers of Cambridge Analytica?
Was the £150,000 for Boris's personal use.
I can still play tennis and wouldn't charge the Russian lady that much for a game.

i don't care much about brexit - it'll reach its own conclusion
have no idea what £5m you are talking about and don't care
as for your tennis - time you had new balls

that you ducked the corbyn issue (again) - #80446 et al - comes as no surprise

Manuel.
Corbyn doesn't need me to defend him.
The country seems to like him and his ideas more than old reactionaries like yourself.
But, as said before at least he seems honest.
Probably that is the difficulties for some?

i didn't ask whether corbyn needs you - or anyone else for that matter
how much the country likes the man is a different matter
for sure he has mobilised the more militant and arguably the young who have never had to live through years of militant and destructive unions, interminable strikes and rampant inflation etc
that voters may vote for a change regardless is always a possibility, but then the frogs voted for a new king too
both the fabled frogs and those over the channel quickly learned to rue the day

Nice dodge Fred , again.
And those mature Spanish , they the same ones who supported Argentina's actions in 1982 ?

And have you ever tried to buy half-decent paella rice in the supermarche, Dil? That's another problem with the Spanish - protectionism!

I almost creased myself reading Freds post 80488 "But, as said before at least he seems honest." when talking about JC.
Talk about gullible but then Fred I am glad that you said only said "seems honest" as clearly you are not 100% sure and have your own doubts.

that's unreasonable ..... the hard left laps up his views
that they may lead us back to "the good old days" is a different matter
i'm sure all the acolytes will think swingeing tax rises for anyone earning £50k or even (especially) £100k are a splendid idea ...... that this is middle and upper management, and thus the people who actually keep everyone in employment is irrelevant
i am sure that other tax rises would also be inevitable even to start funding all the grandiose plans ...... so expect higher interest rates and mortgages (who cares?), more tax on petrol and anything connected with cars (it matters not how that will hit delivery of goods), and anything that smacks of profit from being an entrepreneur
