THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Are they buying out the Liberal party?

MaxK - 08 Apr 2018 11:17 - 80583 of 81564

They wouldnt need £50b for that Fred: 50p more like.

Project One Movement sounds like a front for the €U.

Dil - 08 Apr 2018 11:45 - 80584 of 81564

Yeah that was my first thought too.

Never mind , they're at least two years too late for that.

Fred1new - 08 Apr 2018 12:28 - 80585 of 81564

Dil,

Are you sure?

You remind me of this cartoon.

MaxK - 08 Apr 2018 13:08 - 80586 of 81564

No comment Fred on the Nu Macron party?

Fred1new - 08 Apr 2018 16:23 - 80587 of 81564

I await enlightenment from you, Dil and Manuel.

When you shine it will ease my path.

But I often wonder the real goals of various "political" leaders, adherents and hangers-on of your ilk are.

I don't suppose you really know yourselves.

cynic - 08 Apr 2018 16:53 - 80588 of 81564

corbyn asks with considerable justification why there has been no condemnation of the isareli go'vt's murderous response to the palestinian (extreme) provocation in gaza

though there is no doubt that the palestinians were pushing and pushing against known boundaries in the full knowledge and intent that there would ultimately be an extreme response, as far as i can determine, there was no reason why israeli troops should have reacted with live ammunition to kill rather than merely to deter and disperse

water cannon, tear gas and even rubber bullets are all nasty in their own ways, but still fall way short of shooting to kill

whether or not these "non lethal" deterrents would have had the desired effect is open to question, but nevertheless .....

Fred1new - 08 Apr 2018 18:14 - 80589 of 81564

Almost as bad as poisoning or allowing people to die of starvation.

Strange old world.

Civilisation at its best!

cynic - 08 Apr 2018 18:16 - 80590 of 81564

as an aside to the above, i wonder of corbyn also condemned yesterday's gas attack by assad ..... purely incidental of course that russia backs assad in a conflict where all sides are baddies

MaxK - 08 Apr 2018 18:48 - 80591 of 81564

Another gas attack .. urgent UN meetings, condemnation etc etc.

Cui Bono?

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2018 08:58 - 80592 of 81564

cynic - 09 Apr 2018 09:02 - 80593 of 81564

fred - so did corbyn also condemn the gas attack by assad? ..... purely incidental of course that russia backs assad in a conflict where all sides are baddies

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2018 15:12 - 80594 of 81564

Don't know.

Haven't spoken with him recently!

cynic - 09 Apr 2018 15:58 - 80595 of 81564

i don't recollect seeing anything to the effect that corbyn did, which i find very remiss of him

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2018 16:19 - 80596 of 81564

Tut tut!

Clocktower - 09 Apr 2018 16:38 - 80597 of 81564

Its all noise but nothing changes, and all parties concerned let the suffering continue. The war games seem to be part and parcel of the world powers posturing, while they buy weapons and ammunition, and kill large numbers well away from their shores.

How long will it be before we see another world war?

cynic - 09 Apr 2018 16:41 - 80598 of 81564

corbyn is fast enough to castigate the israelis when they shoot some palestinians

on the other hand, the russian puppet assad gassing an awful lot of innocent civilians clearly gives corbyn no concern at all

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2018 17:30 - 80599 of 81564

It is called examining the evidence before shooting one's mouth off.

cynic - 09 Apr 2018 17:38 - 80600 of 81564

so you think there is little or no evidence of assad's airforce dropping chlorine and other gases on Douma civilians?

you think all the medics lied perhaps?

do you still think the poisoning of the skripals was nothing to do with the russians?

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2018 18:00 - 80601 of 81564

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

Having suspicions about an action or an event is not proof of the initiators of such.

Having beliefs, false or otherwise. and propagating them does not appeal to me, but it is obvious such is often good enough for you, as long as it helps your cause.

If that is your modus operandi, so be it.

Also, remember wars are often started by the same often greedy fools who propagate the false information.

-=-=-=-=

I prefer to await further findings.

But, for Maybe, it seems it is a diversion from Brexit, the consequences of which may lead to the deaths of thousands.
