How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

theoretically should be good news for your Nalbandian bet with the winner playing a 5 setter late into the night

Fundy - last night I placed modest bets on both Ljubicic and Baghdatis to win the tournament outright at 15 and 34 respectively. Also a modest saver on Santoro for today's match.
So I now have Nalbandian at 21 and Baghdatis at 34 filling one half, with just Davydenko in the other. If HE wins tomorrow I'll be well fixed! If he doesn't, as appears likely but you never know, I'll have potential winnings to mess about with on Federer. What would your guess be of the prices for a Federer v Nalbandian final (if that's how it turns out)?
Though Baghdatis is unseeded and Ljubicic seeded 8, after watching the match today I almost wish Nalbandian was playing Ljubicic. Playing Baghdatis must be a nightmare, he is such a twitching bundle of nerves and passion.

On the basis Federer is currently 1.31 to win the tournament and 1.06 to win tonight you would expect he will still be around 1.26 after tonights stroll to victory :-)
I would expect him to be approx 1.1 for the semi which would make him approx 1.15 to beat Nalbandian (assuming it works out that way) though i am no expert on this

didnt realise it had started - was scalping the draw on the Egypt game
Appears by the side he has picked Wenger is adamant on winning. The big plus in their favour is its at Highbury where we seem to be scoring for fun recently. Look forward to seeing what Diaby is like
Would expect Wigan to play for the draw initially, though if they go behind it should open up.
Arsenal still weak at the back so every chance they could concede, may come down to a case of we'll get more than you do!
Not a fan of backing Arsenal at short odds in this comp though so will observe for a bit

Just looking at the markets, may be better value in backing to qualify than to win tonight though little liquidity
