THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

There is nothing to gloat about in this situation but the Russians and Syria put Western governments in an impossible situation...the bottom line is that this war in Syria has to end .......easier said than done.....

required field - 14 Apr 2018 20:42 - 80652 of 81564

Uk-France alliance....hope this isn't shades of Suez peut-etre ?......

Dil - 14 Apr 2018 22:36 - 80653 of 81564

Surely Cyprus colluded ?

And that idiot Syrian spokesman who said only one of the three targets received any substantial damage ... sounds like an invitation to me.

Also said xxx missiles were shot down , even the Russians are going to get peed off with them soon.

Just inviting further action imo.

SUNDAY TIMES
biz section worth reading for comment on WPP, WTB and CNE

also
very funny and sharply observed caption to the cartoon on the front page of the main paper ...
"We will obliterate the entire West except for Jeremy Corbyn"

Fred1new - 16 Apr 2018 08:51 - 80656 of 81564

She is becoming more Putinesque every day.

A picture says it all but which one?

cynic - 17 Apr 2018 13:43 - 80658 of 81564

although russia blocked UN from approving anything, it was interesting that the NATO allies were unanimous in supporting the strike

Dil - 17 Apr 2018 16:39 - 80659 of 81564

Oi Fred , any views on Corby's suggestion yesterday that we give Russia a veto on UK foreign policy ?

Fred1new - 17 Apr 2018 17:03 - 80660 of 81564

Has your government got a foreign or any economic policies?

The tory's cabinet, meetings and rants sound like the noises coming out of a club for stunted adolescents.

Good to see Merkel and Marcon proposing and wanting closer integration of Europe.

Little England and the 13th county can be waiters at that table.

==-=-=

But I forgot Trump likes poodles.

Don't know if he feeds them or not.

ExecLine - 17 Apr 2018 18:24 - 80661 of 81564

Today is a very important day. But Theresa May is likely hoping you don’t notice. Because it’s the last day you can register to vote in the local and mayoral elections taking place on 4 May.

Registration closes at midnight.

You can register to vote if you’re going to be 18 or over on 3 May. EU nationals can also register to vote if they are living in the UK.

Not all areas are holding elections, but you can find out whether elections are taking place in your region HERE.

Mayoral elections are taking place in:

Hackney
Lewisham
Newham
Tower Hamlets
Watford
Local elections are also taking place in these areas so voters in these areas will receive two ballot papers.

Combined authority mayoral election

An election for mayor of the Sheffield City Region combined authority region takes place on Thursday 3 May.

This covers the Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield areas.

Nice rant Fred but back to the question do you agree with Corby that Russia should have a veto on our foreign policy ?

To make it easy for you a simple yes or no will suffice.

Fred1new - 17 Apr 2018 18:52 - 80663 of 81564

Grow up!

As predicted, Theresa May has apologised for Windrush immigration fiasco and blamed whoever was Home Secretary between 2010 and 2016.

Nick Lambourn‏ @NickLambourn · 7h7 hours ago

I'm so glad that whoever was Home Secretary during that time isn't in charge of things now.

Now now Fred pick your dummy up.

Is the question too hard for you ?

Dil - 17 Apr 2018 20:27 - 80666 of 81564

Lol Maxk , pity they hadn't deported Abbott before realising their mistake. That would have been funny.

MaxK - 17 Apr 2018 21:13 - 80667 of 81564

They couldn't find a boat big enough Dil.

Dil - 18 Apr 2018 09:45 - 80668 of 81564

lol.

I see Fred is still as lost for words and unable to defend Corby's suggestion that we let Russia have a veto on foreign policy.

Hope for you yet Fred , not much for Corby though. Seems to be dropping himself in it every week recently.

Fred1new - 18 Apr 2018 10:03 - 80669 of 81564

Dil.

I don't have any need to defend Corbyn, he is more than capable of defending himself.

Suggest you don't read into his "statements" what you want to believe he has said or written.

But, at the same time, it is interesting what Trump's poodle will do for a hope for deal.

-=-==

It is interesting to see the UK being "pimped" and prostituting itself around the world begging itself for deals.

But I supposed for some it has appeal.

Dil - 18 Apr 2018 10:13 - 80670 of 81564

No one can defend Corbyn , your right there Fred but I didn't ask you too.

Asked a simple question that required a one word answer which seems to have stumped you. Here we go in case you forgot what it was.

Do you agree with Corby re Russia being able to veto our foreign policy ?
