How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 21:42 - 8094 of 10502

No penalties, please!

Fundamentalist - 24 Jan 2006 21:45 - 8095 of 10502

Sorry, you'll notice i seem to have assumed it will def go to pens - would rather it was won in extra time but...

Fundamentalist - 24 Jan 2006 22:04 - 8100 of 10502

Top quality Van Persie

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 22:05 - 8101 of 10502

At last, I thought it would never happen.

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 22:05 - 8102 of 10502

What are Arsenal like at defending leads? LOL!

Fundamentalist - 24 Jan 2006 22:06 - 8103 of 10502

Scrip

from the way i understand it if Wigan score now they go through on away goals. How does that work in that 1 side get 120 mins to score away goals vs 90 mins for the other side - has it always been that way?

Fundamentalist - 24 Jan 2006 22:06 - 8104 of 10502

Senderos and Campbell vs Roberts - shaky i would say

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 22:07 - 8105 of 10502

It's an oddity isn't it. Favours the home draw first in a two leg affair.

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 22:08 - 8106 of 10502

My finger is nervously poised over the green button.
