How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

At last, I thought it would never happen.

What are Arsenal like at defending leads? LOL!

from the way i understand it if Wigan score now they go through on away goals. How does that work in that 1 side get 120 mins to score away goals vs 90 mins for the other side - has it always been that way?

Senderos and Campbell vs Roberts - shaky i would say

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 22:07 - 8105 of 10502

It's an oddity isn't it. Favours the home draw first in a two leg affair.

My finger is nervously poised over the green button.

Fair play to Wigan, in Roberts and Pollitt they had the two outstanding contributers to the game

Arsenals defence against anything physical is appalling and they had enough chances to bury this game several times over

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 22:19 - 8113 of 10502

Can't believe they didn't hold on!

with their current defence i hate to say im not that surprised, neither centre half could control Roberts and at the end of the day he got his reward.

Mr Wengers shopping list must currently have 2 centre halves and 2 centre midfielders on it (and the sooner Toure gets back from Africa the better)

bakko - 24 Jan 2006 22:23 - 8115 of 10502

I'm just grateful I switched with a few mins to go otherwise I'd have been scalping Arsenal and would have come a cropper!

Scripophilist - 24 Jan 2006 22:29 - 8116 of 10502

I'm off to sulk for the rest of the night for not following my own advice!

Glad I went out.

Scripophilist - 25 Jan 2006 09:26 - 8118 of 10502

Ah, fresh and ready for a new day. No crap Arsenal side can beat a good bottle of red, In fact could Arsenal beat anything at the moment!

Anyhow, I think the Blackburn - Man U match looks more uncertain than the Arsenal match but Man U still priced at 1.58? Also priced at 1.29 to qualify.
