How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Ah, fresh and ready for a new day. No crap Arsenal side can beat a good bottle of red, In fact could Arsenal beat anything at the moment!

Anyhow, I think the Blackburn - Man U match looks more uncertain than the Arsenal match but Man U still priced at 1.58? Also priced at 1.29 to qualify.

Scripophilist - 25 Jan 2006 09:42 - 8122 of 10502

I am also on the Fed match, Fed looking shaky but Davy really not able to take advantage.

bakko - 25 Jan 2006 09:45 - 8123 of 10502

Could do with a Fed wobble before I pile in

Fundamentalist - 25 Jan 2006 09:46 - 8124 of 10502

Bak

im trying to nick a few points out of the game by game markets but a bit scary :-)

bakko - 25 Jan 2006 09:49 - 8125 of 10502

Tried it already with min stakes in the last set but didn't like the extreme movements

Fundamentalist - 25 Jan 2006 09:55 - 8126 of 10502

Federer certainly not at his best

bakko - 25 Jan 2006 10:00 - 8127 of 10502

Fundamentalist - 25 Jan 2006 10:03 - 8128 of 10502

Nice break from Davy :-)

laying Fed in the game by game is proving profitable :-) just got to stop greening too early lol

Fundamentalist - 25 Jan 2006 10:06 - 8129 of 10502

Fed still odds on to win 3-0

Fundamentalist - 25 Jan 2006 10:09 - 8130 of 10502

Start of the game, Fed on his own serve was 1.06/1.07, hes now at 1.12/1.13 for this game

bakko - 25 Jan 2006 10:10 - 8131 of 10502

Last game was more like the Fed we know

Fundamentalist - 25 Jan 2006 10:11 - 8132 of 10502
