No matter what the state of May, there won't be a GE. We have a fixed term parliament. The DUP will always vote with the government on a vote of confidence. The Conservatives will survive as the government for a few years yet. The boundary changes will make it virtually impossible for Labour to win a GE under Corbyn.

Well, I say you should let the Adulterer and the Undertaker try to bring down Maggie Dismay! If nothing else, it could make a good plot for a new Batman movie.

But, if you look back through this thread you will see early on, that I said the final "solution" may be that the "llttle uk" will be outside the EU and still attempting to trade with it, but having accept EU "rules and regulations", but unable to modify, alter or take part in ongoing review of them.

Also, accepting the reduction of London as the long-term centre of the financial services. Probably relying more and more on its survival as a cheap tourist resort.

Taxation will, of course, will have to be raised to pay for its failing economy.

The worst effect of the so-called Brexit is that we will be seen to have excluded "ourselves" from the EU on grounds of self-interest and superiority and the Europeans will politely say to "hell with the UK" and prefer to deal with their "uncomplicated" neighbours who belong to the same "club".

Whatever is said by some, the UK is a little country and it's economic "world significance" is gradually diminishing.

Also, its appeal to postgraduates for "university" research etc. due to more confusing proposals on "immigration etc." is lessening, they are going elsewhere where they are accepted more readily by some.

Theresa May’s Brexit plans have been dealt a blow after the Democratic Unionist Party backed a rival plan drawn up by Tory rebels to allow the UK to leave the EU's single market and customs union without a hard border in Ireland.

The European Research Group published a paper calling for equivalence of UK and EU regulations and conformity assessment for all agricultural goods on the island of Ireland.

The plan - which is at odds with the Mrs May's Brexit proposal which was agreed by her Cabinet out at her Chequers country home - was immediately backed by the DUP, whose 10 MPs are keeping the Mrs May’s Government in power.

Poland have been under investigation since 2017 for constantly breaking EU rules.

Hungary are now also under EU investigation for constantly breaking EU rules.

Ultimate penalty for each country is suspension from the EU if all other member states besides the one in question agree.

Hungary has told Poland not to worry as it will back them and Poland are expected now to do the same for Hungary.

The EU now consider this a much bigger threat to its future than Brexit.
