Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

below voting intentions are interesting, but more so is the comment below it .......
Party conference season is sometimes a period of volatile polling – each party typically gets its own week of media coverage which, if all goes well, they’ll use for some positive announcements. This year it also immediately followed the Salzburg summit and Theresa May’s Brexit statement that followed. Below are the voting intention polls since my last update.
YouGov (18-19th) – CON 40%, LAB 36%, LDEM 11%, UKIP 5% (tabs)
Opinium (18-20th Sep) – CON 37%, LAB 39%, LDEM 9%, UKIP 8% (tabs)
BMG (21st-22nd Sep) – CON 38%, LAB 38%, LDEM 10%, UKIP 4% (tabs)
ICM (21st-24th Sep) – CON 41%, LAB 40%, LDEM 9%, UKIP 4% (tabs)
YouGov (24-25th Sep) – CON 42%, LAB 36%, LDEM 11%, UKIP 4% (tabs)
ComRes (26-27th Sep) – CON 39%, LAB 40%, LDEM 9%, UKIP 5% (tabs)
Opinium (26-28th Sep) – CON 39%, LAB 36%, LDEM 9%, UKIP 6% (tabs)
BMG (28-29th Sep) – CON 35%, LAB 40%, LDEM 12%, UKIP 5%
They are a mixed bunch – the YouGov poll showing a six point Tory lead got some attention, and I’m sure the BMG poll out this morning showing a five point Labour lead will do much the same. As ever, it’s wrong to pay too much attention to outliers. Normal sample variation means that if the underlying average is a Tory lead of a point or two, random noise will occassionally spit out a 6 point Tory lead or a small Labour lead, without it actually signifying anything. Collectively recent polls don’t suggest a clear impact on voting intention from either the Salzburg statement (while YouGov showed a larger Tory lead, ICM did not), or from the Labour party conference (while BMG show an increased Labour lead, Opinium showed the opposite).

I really don't think Boris is going to topple the PM, not enough support......the EU without saying so are probably desperate for a deal of some sort.....could go either way....

i am sure a deal will be fudged somehow as it would be pretty disastrous for both sides if otherwise, but equally neither side can be seen to be losing face
how the next GE will turn out is anyone's guess
no one knows how many voters will be gulled by the lies broadcast by either side

Just a mention of the passing of a great singer "Charles Aznavour"....those who are perhaps not familiar should listen to : "Comme ils disent"....the paroles and interpretation are sensational !....

Lol
Seen my 3 girls and wife together in same room tonight first time since Boxing Day last year.
Love it ... can't wait to see my bank balance next week.
How much does a divorce cost with a custody battle over 3 kids ?
Wife don't want them either :-)

Sir Craig Mackey locked himself in a car while PC Palmer was being stabbed to death some yards away. CCTV shows Mackey's motor speeding away after the killer had been shot. Gives a whole new meaning to when the going gets tough, the tough get going.
His boss Cressida Dick, was the officer in charge of the operation which led to the slaughter on the tube of an innocent man, Charles de Menezes. Little wonder London is in such a mess.

iturama, I believe he stated he his protection officer told him to stay in the car - who gives the orders? Just like WW1 officers sending the troops into battle.
I wish there was a recording of his actual words in the car and that of the driver etc. but of course it would be screened and no longer be recoverably.

Preservation Of Life.
This is the top priority of every police officer. For Mackey to stay put in his car he is a disgrace.

Meanwhile Ignacio Echeverria, a young banker, took on three knife wealding terrorists with nothing but his skateboard.
Nobody can say how for certain how they would react in such a situation, but when you are in the uniform of a police officer there is no option in my opinion. In the case of Mackey, we are talking about several officers in the car. Their intervention may have made the difference, even as a distraction.
