This is a MUST listen to programme which went out on Radio 4 at noon.
The Corporate Responsibility Director for ASDA was talking about what they are doing to improve packaging - he specifically mentions trials going on at the moment with Salads and RF sealing

You need to fast foward about 30 minutes - it is a 10 minute discussion immediately after the 12.30 news bulletin

Summary
ASDA (and 12 other retailers) working with WRAP a government sponsored body to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill sites.
Talk of projects where coffee etal is put into a cup where the packaging dissolves as the hot water is poured on (isn't this a SEO product?)
Also talk of microwave meals where the tomato sauce is held in disposable capsules which melt onto the pasta during preparation
Ian Boales was the ASDA director being interviewed and he talked specifically about RF technology and the ability now to reduce the wrap on salads from 35 microns to 30 microns - which in itself would save over 500 tons in just a single product line which would be diverted from landfill (did not mention biodegradable).
Talked about projects being worked on with parent company and an israeli company to introduce a new carrier bag. !!!!
ASDA spend over 200m in landfill tax themselves (I think)
Way forward is more holistic packaging - currently looking at resealable packaging.
May have got some of those facts wrong - but listen to the recording
I am excited

noticed various 100,000 buys, which seem to be split for some reason e.g.183 and 99817, 779 and 99221, 85481 and 14519 [shown as a sell but bid moved just for one trade],maybe more ? wasted enough time already.lol

Have established that Age of Reason Foundation is not do any selling. Regarded as a long term shareholder. Still do not know the answer to the question about whether any reduction in the Foundation's stake would need to be notified.
The R4 piece was good; just caught the tale end of it. You couldn't fault the mgt. for lack of mkt. presence.
