You talking drugs SC? I know of better ways to get high!! Bods for instance.

STORMCALLER - 20 Jun 2004 23:12 - 8208 of 23498

GD,
Never touch 'em, lapsing into the vernacular of us old people, forgot youngster like you wouldn't know, shall I get you a Bods then (while I help myself to a guinness)

Golddog - 20 Jun 2004 23:18 - 8209 of 23498

I will no longer be a youngster come this Saturday when i turn 30. May i join the league of old gentleman and retire into pipe smoking and long nose hair.
A pint of Bods would be very welcome.

STORMCALLER - 20 Jun 2004 23:24 - 8210 of 23498

Have no fear child, a millenium ago when I passed that yardstone, I discovered it held no demons, 'twas indeed the first faltering step to wisdom, and beyond.
Here is your beer, keep drinking it, for that path leads to greatness, or perhaps the toilet.

Golddog - 20 Jun 2004 23:32 - 8211 of 23498

Oh yes the wisdom of age is a great gift indeed! if only we could be born with it? but then without lessons of life what boring people we would become!
The lessons of love
The lessons of fortune
The lessons of pain
The lessons of life itself
and the lesson of Bods naturally.

STORMCALLER - 20 Jun 2004 23:41 - 8212 of 23498

Never found the second one, and of course the last one requires a lifetime of study

Golddog - 20 Jun 2004 23:45 - 8213 of 23498

If i can one day have half your wisdom and knowledge then poochy the dog will be wise indeed. Poochy must now flop into his basket. please keep the noise down if you have a all-night party.

nighty oh.

STORMCALLER - 20 Jun 2004 23:47 - 8214 of 23498

Goodnight GD

Socrates - 21 Jun 2004 00:04 - 8215 of 23498

Golddog
The wisdom of age, hmmmm, try this for size:

Regard your good name as the richest jewel you can possibly be possessed of - for credit is like fire; when once you have kindled it you may easily preserve it, but if you once extinguish it, you will find it an arduous task to rekindle it again. The way to gain a good reputation is to endeavor to be what you desire to appear.

STORMCALLER - 21 Jun 2004 00:11 - 8216 of 23498

Socrates,
Once again we are in awe and wonderment. (Bowing low and withdrawing gracefully to the bar)
SC

STORMCALLER - 21 Jun 2004 00:16 - 8217 of 23498

Socs,
(Guinness in hand) I would value your view on the supposed corollary to your wonderful enlightenment, ie that to tell the truth means you never have to remember what you said.
SC

STORMCALLER - 21 Jun 2004 00:48 - 8218 of 23498

While it's quiet, I think I'd better repair these speakers, stockbunny's retro-blast earlier has played havoc with the sound system, 3 base drivers still smouldering, shocking behaviour, loved every minute.

STORMCALLER - 21 Jun 2004 00:53 - 8219 of 23498

Thirsty work this, I'll have a refill. Shame I can't test the sound kit, probably get complaints this time of night.

STORMCALLER - 21 Jun 2004 01:08 - 8220 of 23498

I'll tidy up a bit, ironic really, for once I didn't make a mess, still, it's only fair.

STORMCALLER - 21 Jun 2004 01:58 - 8221 of 23498

This tidying up is hard work, I'm worn out, mind you, I was when I came in, best go and get a well earned rest.

hilary - 21 Jun 2004 07:29 - 8222 of 23498

Jeff,

25 for the Acer seems good. My mother-in-law paid 50 for hers a couple of years ago at the local nursery. Btw, you seem to be running in 2nd place for the chimney pots, atm.

:o)

Poochy,

I've got several pairs of boots. Any particular ones that you'd like me to wear?

Oh. A bit late now, but hello Bunny Girl, btw.
