Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

On a lighter note (?) take a look at Coco de Mer's very cheeky, very risque, Christmas advert. Featuring all items from Coco de Mer’s own brand, there's a selection of thongs, suspenders, latex boots and even sex toys to pick from.
There's even a rather odd shot featuring a raw turkey being massaged by a woman's hands - but she is wearing a pair of Coco de Mer's leather handcuffs bound together with a gold chain:

Presumably you were on the Coco de Mer website because you were shopping for Lady Proc's Xmas pressie, Doc?

If Ed Milliband wasn't such an absolutely ludicrous , incompetent , absurd , make it up as you go along , couldn't run a piss up in a brewery tosser then he wouldn't have lost the election in 2015.

A similar expression would be applicable to the present government's Brexit negotiation team and yourself.

In case you didn't notice, KidA, it was Maggie Dismay's inability to engage with the public, coupled with Labour's skillful use of social media, that captured the youth vote and lost the Tories their overall majority earlier this year.
So, whatever you might think of Twitter personally, the fact is that Ed Miliband has 3/4 million Twitter followers, Jeremy Corbyn has 1.6m followers, and, for the Labour party, it's a powerful medium for getting their message across. Gary Neville retweeted Miliband's tweet with a favourable comment, and he has nearly 4m followers, so it's only a fool who discounts the reach of social media.
Meanwhile, back in the Bat Cave, Maggie Dismay doesn't even have 0.5m Twits who follow her.
---
Who is discounting its reach? Look at the crack that is mobile phones/texting, X Factor/Celebrity I'm Doing Something Or Other. Humans are daft and malleable creatures.
Is silly sixth form name tagging - Nasal Numpty, Stinking Labia Party... - the order of the day?
For my part, like you I'm idiot enough to post here.
Cheers,
KidA

I think we're too late to save him jimmy , he's in a deep OCD state , brought on by paranoia and the fear of common sense . Besides it's the only sport he likes .

KidA,
Those daft malleable creatures you refer to also have a vote. So, at the moment, I'd say the person discounting the reach of social media is Maggie Dismay.
Call Me Dave sussed social media out a long time ago. He may have been slippery, but he made a big effort to engage. Maggie should try taking a leaf out of his book imo.
I wonder how many twits follow Jacob Rees Mogg?

It wasn't social media that was May's problem. It was a bad campaign, poor manifesto and a PM that doesn't do public engagement. Social media is an echo chamber with little sign that it changes views.

Well said Hays , I live in a location that had a Labour majority of 93 ish but due to excessive postal begging/warning letters , Corbyn was a threat to EU leaving etc . Labour increased their majority to 9,500 ish it was a poor campaign .
