Planestation (Ex Wiggins Group plc) (PTG)

Socrates - 10 Jan 2004 10:34

Time now for all us Wiggins watchers to move with the times and start using Planestation, the new company identity. The name Wiggins Group plc has now disappeared from the database at Companies House and Planestation is now listed on the LSE website.

So fellow travellers, forget Wiggins, the name of the game is now PLANESTATION. Lets hope it goes like an express train.

Heading for sub 5p

Canberra BI6 - 13 Sep 2004 16:06 - 825 of 1086

jeffmack, you are so right and I have suspected over the last fortnight we would drift below the oh so crucial 5p level. The masses are deserting in their droves but as I am a long term holder(VERY LONG)I am not worried.

optomistic - 13 Sep 2004 16:16 - 826 of 1086

Large volumes split 5.5 mil buys 4.1 mil sells, once again are the figures the full picture? AGM tomorrow at 9.00 am perhaps we will receive some encouraging news from there. If not, then what!!!

Canberra BI6 - 13 Sep 2004 16:30 - 827 of 1086

I guess back to the lows of last year I,m affraid, doom and gloom. MM must encourage cargo into KIA and once the BIP has had its final pass from the EU we should hopefully see a dramatic turnaround!!!!!!!

Thanks for that Eddie, its seems that everything is nicely in place over at Melbourne. This is info that could help the sentiment to PTG, it's a pity that the PR man, if we have one, hasn't posted this in the press.

eddiedocherty - 13 Sep 2004 21:58 - 830 of 1086

Hi Optomistic,
I would expect some info on this new mlb office to be posted on the company website quite soon.
Good luck

PlaneStation U.S. Headquarters
Now in the MLB Terminal Building
In September 2003, Melbourne International
Airport (MLB) executed an agreement with
PlaneStation,
which specializes
in airport and airport
property management.
In addition
to other
requirements, the
agreement called
for PlaneStation to
serve as an operator
in the following
three areas:
1) to lease or charter aircraft
and fly both passengers
and air cargo into MLB;
2) to contract with other charter
operators to fly passengers
and air cargo into
MLB; and
3) to operate the concession
areas within the international
terminal.
Since that time, PlaneStation
has been working diligently to accomplish these
tasks, including marketing to tour operators to
provide service. PlaneStation Melbournes aim is to
take international tourism to a new level in the
Space and Treasure coasts and at the same time,
offer the people of these areas direct flights to new
destinations in Europe.
During a June 2004 visit, PlaneStation, together
with delegations from Germany and the United
Kingdom, visited Brevard with the intention of
determining interest in Americans flying to the
U.K. and Germany. The delegates set up a trade
show at the Holiday Inn, Cocoa Beach to discuss
interest with local tour operators and travel
agents. According to the delegates, the interest
resulting from the trade show was strong and they
look forward to receiving
Americans into those
countries as well as sending
their citizens to
Central Florida.
On August 10, 2004,
PlaneStation representatives
visited the area to
meet with the Airport
Authority and staff, tour
operators, travel agents,
and various tourism
officials. Mr. Tony
Freudmann, Executive
Vice President, and Ms.
Jacqui Dunphi, Vice
President of Aviation,
held a Press Conference
with local media.
PlaneStation representatives
emphasized air service
will begin in Spring
2005 between Kent
International Airport in
Manston, England and Melbourne International
Airport. Manston is located approximately one
hour east of London near Canterberry and Dover.
On August 11, 2004, PlaneStation opened its U.S.
headquarters inside MLBs air terminal. This was
deemed the next logical step to show
PlaneStations visibility in the area. PlaneStation
hired Eden Cook as its Principal Operating Officer.
Cook is responsible for managing the international
operations, facilitating communications
with communities in the U.S. and abroad, and
serving as the local representative for
PlaneStation, Melbourne. For more information
on PlaneStation please call 321-409-0915.

fairford - 14 Sep 2004 17:51 - 836 of 1086

Just popped over from ADVFN board, to see if any more news,

Thanks for that RNS Eddie, we were typing together on Afn,(dwnash) over there..

Have you worked out the closing price at Xmas yet for me.........

eddiedocherty - 14 Sep 2004 18:15 - 837 of 1086

fairford,
wish i knew, but the consolidation was expected - it was outlined in the annual report. Personally I hope it will entice more institutional buys, as hoped for by the board by lifting the share above the penny share market.
This does appear to have worked for Chorion (1 of EJs) and perhaps Emerald Energy
Good luck
Eddie
