This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

50k sell 8 trading days before agm mmmmmmm

50k sell could have been activated by trigger happy stop-loss.
the price is hovering around lower support line. This stock obviously moves heavily on news but also take a look at how it tracks(albeit with greater swings) the big indeces.
I have been in this stock for a long time and will continue to be.
Do some research and see how much,and the nature of the r&d that the various components of mmg are involved in. It is nothing short of mind-blowing.
I think that despite some press reports it has still to be 'discovered'.

No update golfinger, suprised he didnt comment on the recent release. However i suspect he is waiting for the AGM. You really ought to subscribe, a gem of a site. Boards are the best around and there are some large and i mean heavy weight private investors who comment on the boards ( And im not talking girth size)

Not a subscriber either but will Mike be attending the AGM because I'd like to speak to him if he does..girth size apart.!

It seems to be poised to do something but is it up or down? I think up as there seems to be a pattern to the way this share performs prior to news, imho, of course.

I have had a good run on Ashtead (AHT) this year but it is now up around my target price, I know I should sell but I still think there is mileage in it. Anybody else holding????????? Any other target prices???????? Any comments
