Alexandria, Va.
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 9 -- Allan Draisey of Felpham, Great Britain, Richard Martin Rencourt of Horndean, Great Britain, and Ryan Grimes of Southampton, Great Britain, have developed a process and apparatus for forming capsules.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Capsules, for example for the delivery of pharmaceuticals, are produced from at least three films of a water-soluble polymeric material, by deforming two of the films to form a multiplicity of recesses, and filling the recesses with a flowable filling material.
A film is used to cover the recesses in at least one of the films, and is welded to it by dielectric welding. The films with filled recesses are then brought together and welded together by dielectric welding to form filled capsules, which are cut or punched out of the welded film. The polymeric material may be gelatin, or a water-soluble cellulose derivative such as hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, and may also contain a plasticiser."
The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 6,923,980 on Aug. 2.
The patent has been assigned to Stanelco Fibre Optics Ltd., Fareham.
The original application was filed on March 15, 2001, and is available at:

pm1: Only worry u should have is that high oilprices may eventually cause a recession worldwide. Do not forget that at current price of Brent at $66+p/bbl many more fields will now become economically viable. And yes your prediction is right but timing of same hopelessly wrong

Hi All,
Nice debate on Oil, I am in Aminex and looking at ITM Power, both will be long term(2-4 years) multi-baggers IMVHO. The rising oil price will benefit both comapanies.
Cheers,

No oil and oil at zero cost are just the two extremes of that spectrum of pricing we call the market. This is true for any commodity.
What we really love is when the market is restricted in our favour by a dirty great patent!

fantastic find , driver. does that mean even if bprg get the uk rights, seo hold the usa patent? can it be like that or are patents held world wide? i am sure i read somewhere that not all countries respect patents the same.
i don't know why you have all become fixated on oil all of a sudden? who gives a shit? we know it's going to run out within decades. something else will be in place by then. that's not sticking my head in the sand. necessity is the mother of invention , or something like that!!! oil brought us to this point after wood and coal. something else will take us to the next point. my guess is it will be china or india who get there first and that they take over from usa as the dominant power sometime in the next century. europe will be too preoccupied with pettiness, like standardising the shape of onions, and holidays, (making sure nobody works too hard), to move forward and will lag further behind.

I believe patents have to be filed in individual countries, although not 100% certain.

no wind, but i got it wrong last week so hopefully i will be wrong again this week. maybe we are getting a touch too impatient. i mean , everything seems to be ok , the pieces are coming together , the company seems in good hands, and it's moving forward nicely. some orders would be a welcome reassurance , though.

Bos/Driver Hi,
Re oil, you may not give a hoot when it runs out, but the higher the price goes, and the sooner it looks like running out, the sooner ALL plastic will be sourced from replenishable sources, like Biotec TPS.
Retailers like ASDA, Wal-Mart, etc, will be forming a very long queue at Stanelco's front door, to get Starpol 2000 trays and film, and that means MONEY for us.
This also bodes well for other Stanelco products that use Starpol 2000.
Cheers,
PM
