If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!
Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.
The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.
This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)
If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

kayak - you hero :-) that was driving me bloody nuts. I assume the s is something to do with viewing in secure mode from changing a/c details?
Anyway, thanks.

Yep, although it should have brought you back to http: automatically. Perhaps that's an issue with the web pages.

During the last few days due to the problems encountered at ADVFN I have been comapring the feed from several providers.
I noticed that volumes given on the various stockwatch style pages varied across providers. Today however, on all of the stocks that I have checked, ADVFN and MyTrack agree - MoneyAM does not. Some examples BP BAY DGE GLH GUS - all are showing somewhat lower values on MoneyAM.
The problem does not appear to be solely related to pre-market trades.
Take DGE for instance - currently ADVFN/MyTrack is showing 1688673 MoneyAM is showing 965818. The volume traded pre-market was 286788.

One feature I would really appreciate is a 'Personal Library' function where I could put really useful posts that I would like to refer back to, for instance, Mike's Double Witching for Dumbos, Elliott Wave explanation, tax advice, etc. Maybe AM could put recommended posts into a Library file we could all access?

Vasey,
Thnaks for this I shall certainly let the powers that control these things know.
Can't make any promises but thanks for the comments.

qwento,
Your post seems to have been ignored. The reason for the anomoly is that, for sets stocks, am take the price as being the mid of the bid and offer rather than using the conventional method of taking the price of the last AT.
Consequently, highs and lows differ. There are adverse implications if the am data is used in external applications.
Another implication is that thinner traded sets stocks often do not "open" until mid-morning when the jobbers decide to give the stock a proper bid. In the meantime, these stocks will incorrectly appear in the am top risers/fallers list.
On a note which will be of concern to Mike, it's a factor which will prevent me (and possibly others too) from subscribing to am L2 until it's addressed. There are other factors too like rt AFX newsfeeds, streaming charts and FilterX, but they're separate issues.

Qwnt; we are taking a look., thanks for letting us know.
hilary; The problem with the mid as opposed with last AT is something we are trying to sort out but we are in the hands of the data supplier who aggregates for us. Streaming charts is well on its way and we have a new product launching (next week) for stock screening. The AFX newsfeed is live but as yet not streaming.

mike

Mike: AFX feed is NOT the full feed. Two problems with it: (a) there is no flash headline service and (b) the general news items are delayed by 15 mins. See for example the following, posted by Boyse from over the road at 10:26 to the traders thread whereas your feed only had it at 10:38.
Boyse - 20 Mar'03 - 10:26 - 94 of 103
KUWAIT CITY (AFX) - Five Iraqi Scuds were fired on northern Kuwait,
according to a report from Kuwait TV.

Over the road the AFX feed that everyone gets is marked AFXF whereas the premium one that Gold and above get is marked AFXU (which I think stands for AFX(UK)). Comparing the two feeds, you have obviously got AFXF.
Of the two problems, I miss the flash headlines most since these carry interest rate changes/economic index announcements etc. within a minute or so. AFXF carries them up to a half hour later which is not useful.

Bullie - just for the record this OHLC numbers (which I have mentioned since the begining) difference is one of the reasons for me still being totally dependant for "over the road" data. Both Intra and End day.

Thanks for the response.
I took a further look at DGE throughout the day yesterday. As compared with the other two providers the MoneyAM cumulative volume figure lost around another 140,000 by mid afternoon. Interestingly, the gap narrowed somewhat toward the close.
I did watch individual trades going through ADVFN and MoneyAM for a while but could not spot anything obvious.
Today - DGE 11:43 - GNI/ADVFN/MyTrack showing 3542520 MoneyAM showing 3484001

Today it's the turn of Stockholm to be up a crazy amount. These foreign indices seem to be a bit unreliable.

I'd like an option on stockwatch to code the prices blue/red on the basis of the last tick rather than up/down on the day. Most (semi)professional systems work in this way and it's what you want if you're daytrading. It "feels" very strange to see e.g. the FTSE increasing and yet remain red.
