Bos Hi,
It's getting closer to the EGM, possible news time, and the MM's will drop the price to fill big orders now, knowing that there is likely to be more smaller buys as we get nearer to the EGM, and they can bump the price back up then.
Cheers,
PM

Paul..this stock is MM and order driven so please don't go blaming the MM who will " drop the price to fill big orders now" sounds amateurish mate!
you know i like your views and dedication to the board but that is a bit of a misguided explanation to the drop.
basically slow day, few sellers about and lack of concerted buying. simple explanantion without the consipacy theory!

I've read that today/tomorrow is settlement day for T20 traders who bought on credit hoping fpr a quick profit for zero cash outlay. The MM's drop the price on closing day forcing them to sell at a loss or roll over and earn them a commision that way.
Is this true and is this why many shares, including SEO, have dipped today for no apparent reason? Are T20 periods fixed and where can one see the dates involved? Any knowledgeable views welcome.

Paul
I seem to remember you saying that you worked for a broker. If that is so, why do you say that MM are manipulating the price so that they can satisfy some orders coming through. I believe that there were far more buys than sells in terms of shares traded as opposed to the actual number of trades. And if there are big orders coming through, surely that is a sign of faith in SEO by larger than mere retail investors.
Correct me if you think I am wrong.
I would hazard a guess that SEO are likely to release some good news prior to the EGM just to prime the pumps in case there is a slight nervous or negative reaction to what is, or how the proposals are going to be presented to shareholders.

A little off topic - but also on topic as we might be losing PM1 - banned from ADFN and now suspended on FYB - appears he is starting his own website and so as he is in competition with other services like ADV - MAM - FYB - we might not see him anymore.
A post copied over from FYB (fillyaboots) - hope they do not mind -

I would like to pass on to all thread users the following quote from an email I have just received from Paul Masterson:
"FYI I am now going to build a new website, it will contain research on long term growth stocks, in the same way my Stanelco Research website does, it will not contain any suggestion of future price predictions, but will, like lemminginvestor, select various stocks with huge potential, it will also contain discussion forums, which I will administer.
For 48 a year I get what I want, a place to put all my research, a discussion forum where I can ban the abusers permanantly, and my own domain name, I call that a bargain.
I guess that means we will be in competition, so forget the reinstatement, conflicts of interest and all that."
I think that makes the situation very clear. PM1 has voluntarily relinquished his membership of this site. Needless to say, Fillyaboots will of course accede to his request not to be reinstated as a member.

Back to SEO - looks like a possible fall to 17p or 18p levels -
Under pressure now - still only 2 confirmed orders and 1000 in the price.
Big debt coming - placing maybe - please vote yes at the EGM !
Big loss at FY results in 2006 - LOL - ;-) - What a stock - what a ramp it was IMO !
And there is no need for things like profit warnings - SE0 have not made a profit for many years - and never stated they would be making a profit - only others have been saying that - the company not - so onwards they go to yet another loss IMO !

Eric not sure about the 4 month delay with ASDA,page 43
from the Biotec aquisition document concerning Greenseal.
States 14 days from the 23rd March, also goes on to say,
that they can terminate this agreement if targets are not
met.

Oily Hi,
If as I suggested, the MM's have lowered the price to fill big orders, that fits in my book, as there were big orders, at very good prices, you know institutions never pay the ask price, more lik mid price :)
I agree with you that news is likely but as a 'trading update' on the day of the EGM, typical use of a meeting is to sneak in updates, rather than beforehand, unless there is a deal to announce that is, in which case it will happen when it happens, they cannot delay such announcements, if they know, the market has to know at the same time.
Cheers,
PM

We are getting a very healthy re-test of the 38% fib retracement
candle volume down from 22 is very narrow ie the retracement is not on much volume. It all looks very good and in line for a nice support on the uptrend line from feb

This really is bobbing around today - could it be that MM's are doing a tree shake? - if that is the right term ?

no really the right term, but the right sentiment. please remember than since htis is order driven it means the stock is now ORDER DRIVEN! the MM's can mess around and try and control the stock but it is the punters who are leading the way.
today is a no news day. A few stale sellers around and not too much convincing buying. a perfect day to job a few hundred thousand shares for a quarter of a penny....
news will move this next, lack it it will see a slow drift.

unusual. a few weeks ago the drop below 20p created a little bit of panic. today everyone seems calm. or are we now back to investors and the traders have f**ked off to pastures new?
