proptrade - 22 Aug 2005 10:06 - 8452 of 27111

only up from the silly no volume print on friday...

bosley - 22 Aug 2005 10:20 - 8453 of 27111

proptrade, what do you mean by "no volume print"?

paulmasterson1 - 22 Aug 2005 14:14 - 8454 of 27111

Hi All,

Could tick up nicely by friday !

Cheers,

Hi PM,

Yes I think we could be on an upward curve again now.

proptrade - 22 Aug 2005 14:53 - 8456 of 27111

sorry, i meant that it was just 124 shares only that market them at 19.25 instead of 19.5. in the uncrossing there was 24,000 to buy at 19.50 and 24,124 to sell at 19.25. means not alot so the "rise" today is basically the right price as of Friday.

didn't mean to flumox anyone with some non existant jargon!

Hi All,

Some general news items, handy 'big picture' stuff ....

Cheers,

Despite the relentless attacks on Wal-Mart by community groups and labor unions, the local benefits provided by Wal-Mart far outweigh the costs, say Harvard University business professor Pankaj Ghemawat and business consultant Ken Mark.

Another future target for Greenseal and Starpol 2000 ....
Woolworths Ltd., Australia's biggest supermarket company, increased second-half profit 21 percent after cutting costs for supplying its grocery stores and buying a liquor retailer (The Australian Woolworths isn't related to London-based Woolworths Group Plc, which was founded in 1909 as part of its U.S. parent's expansion, or Woolworths Holdings Ltd., located in Cape Town, South Africa.) Chief Executive Roger Corbett has automated ordering systems and reduced inventory to cut costs as he battles Coles Myer Ltd. in Australia's A$70 billion-a-year food, liquor and grocery market.

Supermarket rivals face off in China

French hypermarket giant Carrefour will face new competition in China when its U.S. rival Wal-Mart opens its first branch in the city of Pudong. The two chains arrived in China just a year apart -- with Carrefour making the first debut there in 1995, reported France's Le Figaro newspaper Friday. Carrefour has opened 62 stores in China and is expected to open four more by the year's end. Arkansas-based Wal-Mart opened its 48th store in China this week, and is expected to open to others in the near future. The American chain is expected to open 12 to 15 stores by the year's end, Le Figaro reports, and reach 90 by the end of 2006. For the moment, however, Carrefour leads the competition in China, with sales estimated at $1.94 billion annually, Le Figaro reports.

Tesco to open 20 more Malaysian stores over five years

The British Tesco supermarket giant plans to expand substantially in Malaysia, opening 20 more stores within the next five years, a report said Sunday. Tesco -- the world's third biggest retailer after US giant Wal-Mart and France's Carrefour -- operates in 12 countries in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.

bhunt1910 - 22 Aug 2005 18:17 - 8463 of 27111

Aaaaah - but its Tuesday tomorrow - and you never know what might happen - maybe an RNS??

bosley - 22 Aug 2005 18:34 - 8464 of 27111

i don't think so , baza. i hope i'm wrong , but i think we are just going to have to wait for the egm statement.

bosley - 22 Aug 2005 18:36 - 8465 of 27111

baza, take a look at icu. got some last week and it's doing ok. could be a good one.

paulmasterson1 - 22 Aug 2005 19:13 - 8466 of 27111

Hi All,

Anyone watch the close today ????

The mid shot up to 1p up, then dropped back to .5p up, then back to 1p up, then back to .75p up, and all in the space of a minute, and the bid and ask were the wrong way round, and both below the mid at one point !

I reckon the 1m, 1.5m and 600k are all buys, so only .5m sold today.

Blue start tomorrow, buying on speculation of news next tuesday, could be 28p by friday, following a similar rise on the speculation of a Wal-Mart or Tetrapack deal at the beginning of May '05 :)

Next weekend is going to be one VERY long weekend for SEO shareholders :))))

Cheers,
PM

SELECT Packaging Systems has released the G.Mondini E365 tray sealer, designed to meet the needs of small to medium size manufacturers.

I take it that the G.Mondini is the same as the one linked to Stanelco.

PTH Hi,

Yeah, but what a weird series of price moves for SEO, I have never seen it move to such extremes, so quickly.

Cheers,
PM
