VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

Thanks for your comments.

Vane have confirmed high grade silver and gold (see Judkay above, for example). The lower grade was just in the initial stages of the operation.

Understand your points about the uranium quantities entirely, which is why my take on it (post 838) went from the other angle.

Incidentally it's a good idea to enable your private messaging system. This does not mean I have secret information! This applies to anyone really.

Wish I shared your faith in Shares mag!

Cheers, Madison

Im in with a small holding this morning, hopefully ive timed it well for the forth coming events. I appreciate the informative posting on this bb it makes a change from a number of threads that are going down hill.......

tallsiii - 25 May 2005 13:55 - 852 of 2220

Am guessing you are talking about SEO.

dawsinho - 25 May 2005 13:58 - 853 of 2220

Well... back from shopping and we've got some lovely blue. just topped up at 17p, should of done it earlier.....oh well!

blackbelt - 25 May 2005 14:00 - 854 of 2220

Yeah, I cashed out my holding at the peak and am going to invest with a bit of diversity - So VANE should hopefully bring me just that. Its the only viable uranium play IMO

goldfinger - 25 May 2005 14:22 - 855 of 2220

Ive added again and I think this time we are getting investors rather than traders buying the stock. If we get a good write up in Shares Tomorrow and Liverpool win the Champions leauge there should be a 'feel good factor ' hanging in the air.

cheers GF.

PS, not a Liverpool fan but hope they give the Italians a lesson in soccer.

Madison - 25 May 2005 14:30 - 856 of 2220

Hi blackbelt, thanks for the comment on the thread and welcome to it.

I agree goldfinger. Let's hope that some of these buyers think in weeks or months rather than just days. Then we shall do well.

Cheers, Madison

syd443s - 25 May 2005 15:23 - 857 of 2220

its nice to see some decent buys comming through again. Only 1 sell today, lets hope this continues for a while rather than going up then down lower than it was before.

goldfinger - 25 May 2005 16:16 - 858 of 2220

Superb to see it moving up like this.

cheers GF. PS, has it been tipped I wonder.

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

Results of Latest Drilling Programmes

VANE Minerals Plc ("VANE") is pleased to announce the successful completion of
the first round of exploration drilling at the Guadalcazar project in the state
of San Luis Potosi, Mexico as well as completion of second-stage drilling at
Mina Charay in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico.

Guadalcazar:

Approximately 1,067 metres of HQ core were obtained from 12 drill holes located
on a spacing of approximately 500 metres. Anomalous values of gold and silver
were detected in every hole drilled. Initial assays indicate gold and silver
values as high as 0.5 g/t and 38 g/t respectively. Bedrock limestone was found
to be hydrothermally altered (marbleised) in several holes located in the
western part of the district.

A programme of check assaying is now underway to confirm analytical results. The
drill core samples will also be analyzed for tin and mercury as this
information, along with the marbleised zones will aid in directing future
drilling toward more strongly mineralized centre(s) that will be the object of a
second round of drilling. This is planned for later this summer.

Mina Charay:

A second round of diamond drilling has now been completed at Mina Charay
consisting of 12 holes and bringing the total number of holes completed to 19.
Nine of these holes intersected mineralized veins with a weighted average gold
grade of 12.41 g/t and weighted average silver grade of 112.42 g/t over an
average core length of 2.2 m corresponding to a true vein thickness of
approximately 2 m. The nine holes are all located within a zone 200 metres long
which trends N70E. The holes in question are all parallel, bearing S20E, and
inclined at -45 to -60 degrees to the south. Holes are spaced 25 to 50 metres
apart along the 200-metre length of the vein system. Mineralization remains open
at depth and possibly to the west.

The mineralized intersections for Mina Charay are summarized below:

Initial Drilling Campaign

DDH# Interval(m) Core length (m) Au g/t Ag g/t

1 17.7 - 18.3 0.6 5.59 185.1
1A 25.6 - 28.5 2.9 24.94 290.1
2 26.0 - 27.4 1.4 10.10 30.9
3 51.3 - 53.5 2.2 1.93 29.4
4 30.2 - 34.0 3.8 6.09 63.4

Second (Current) Drilling Campaign

7 31.4 - 35.2 3.8 7.06 99.3
8 54.9 - 57.9 3.0 20.34 70.4
14 25.6 - 25.9 0.3 11.86 24.0
15 39.9 - 42.0 2.2 19.45 172.7

Based on the high-grade nature of the mineralization, the relatively shallow
depth and continuity along the 200-metre strike length of the vein system, VANE
intends to initiate a third drilling campaign in order to define a resource and
assist in the development plan.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, comments, "The results at Guadalcazar
corroborate our belief in the widespread nature of the gold and silver
mineralisation across this potentially major project, as well as confirming that
the deposit is indeed hydrothermal. We will now concentrate our efforts on
identifying higher grade areas of mineralisation through the second round of
drilling. We are also very encouraged with the progress being made at Mina
Charay and will continue to move this forward as quickly as possible."

Background:

Guadalcazar is a large newly recognised hydrothermal system, previously thought
to be alluvial until recently defined by the VANE team. The project is directly
from the Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold Co. Exploration Database that is
available exclusively to the Company and therefore is subject to the agreement
the Company has with Freeport-McMoRan (details of which can be found at the
company's website www.vaneminerals.com). The exploration licence covers an area
of over 20km(2). Within this large area, through geochemical and geophysical
sampling, the Company has identified drilling targets which the Company believes
may lead to a large gold deposit.

VANE entered into an option agreement to acquire Mina Charay in September 2004.
The Company believes the prospect could be fast tracked into production and may
therefore offer the potential for generating rapid cash flow. This is in line
with VANE's strategy when it acquired the high grade Diablito gold / silver
property ("Diablito") in the state of Nayarit, Mexico. If successful, cash flow
from production at Diablito and/or Mina Charay will enable the Company to expand
its exploration programme and will allow further expansion of its asset
portfolio without over-extending its resources.

Madison - 26 May 2005 08:00 - 866 of 2220

I think the last paragraph about Mina Charay generating rapid cash flow is what I am most pleased about. Guadalcazar: looks very good and possibily of tin and mercury too.

Cheers, Madison

PS Shares mag doesn't surprise me!
