A further thought on this news.
If one supermarket is converting and conducting trials with the RF sealing, then you can bet life (house) on the fact that they will all be at it.
I think that we might get a veritable serialisation of announcements early next year. And if its happening here, the other markets abroad will be doing the same.

Maybe at the EGM next week re the use of trays for the fruit packaging. And thinking about it, they may also announce that they are conducting trials with one or more supermarkets on Greenseal's RF - unless they decide to wait until it has been successful.

Oilywag, How does all this square with Asda's exclusivity agreement?
I am compiling a list of questions for the EGM on Tuesday. Anyone who cannot get there and wants a particular topic covering, including the obvious one of how soon for an overseas order, let me know and I'll do my best

I have purposely avoided mentioning the name of the supermarket because the information is not yet in the public domain.
However, they will have their fruit packed in biodegradable trays next week and then it will be safe to let you know the name, probably on Wednesday next week.

Who knows, SEO may make an announcement at the EGM that they are in trials both for the trays and Greenseal's RF sealing next week.
But to re-iterate the point I think I made earlier, I am sure that SEO are engaged in these activities whilst the exclusivity is ongoing with ASDA, just as long as they do not "roll out" until after this period.
Perhaps, you might want to ask them at the EGM to confirm that they conducting trials with other supermarkets' suppliers whilst the ASDA exclusivity is ongoing.

Do I take that as a positive move then - that the MM's are short of stock - in readiness for the EGM ???

This cannot be more than boredom with lack of news having been the case for too long, particularly from the States, with all of those trained retro fit engineers meant to be in place to get a rapid start to the roll-out there.
Tuesday's EGM had better be special. If the Board expects a 10 minute wonder that would not be a good move on their part. The only consolation is that other stocks with good stories also seem to be weakening so a bounce back is virtually assured when newsflow resumes.

Hi All,
2,000,000 WT buy at the end, and a 2,000,000 X trade right before it ????
Someone wanted 2m shares at a good price before the EGM, and they may have caused part of the drop, by wanting the stock below a certain price (19p ?)
Only two days to get in or back in before the EGM, only one way the price is going, and thats back above 20p ....
Cheers,
PM

The SP is odd especially with the B/S ratio, unless there are some undisclosed deals during the day overhanging. But it is not the only MMS oddities today.
I can see any real down, but SP is a little frustrating at the moment.

seroxat: your suggestion makes sense. The fall in sp seems diofficult to understand on the basis of known trading but if two large sell orders have been worked then we now have the average price of the sales. The good news is presumably that these are now out of the way. A couple of 100K buys after hours were above the closing price. Hence there should be a recovery tomorrow.
DSTOREY: the primary reason for the EGM was initially to ap[prove the acquisition of Biotec and the half sale to SP Metals. In the RNS of 5th August, SEO added a provision to issue 46m shares for cash which would allow further placements for raising funds at short notice and, secondly, an increase in borrowing powers from 10m to 25m. Both make sense in relation to the growing scale of operations. Absolutely necessary to have both powers to support a period of rapid growth. I read these as positive in terms of the ramping up of sales.
I only wish I had spare to funds to add to my holdings at this price. There is a 50% run-up potential at least on positive news from the US. Having said that, whilst Tuesday will no doubt give a progress report it may not be the hard news to give that boost to the sp. I don't see that any company has any responsibility to traders in their shares. They have responsibilities, of course, to investors, but not to provide them with a quick buck.

I assume the X trade was a dealer to dealer trade for someone who was short of funds and the WT (worked principal trade) I am not sure, but seems to be an order to buy at a tight price being filled. Can the MMs move the price down in order to underbid the price for a large order, so they get their turn?
It certainly looks artificial/manipulated to me - unless you are telling me there is bad news to be discounted which is not in the PD yet.
