tabasco - 19 Jul 2008 09:30 - 85 of 9624

The Saturday value bets this week is H.Morrisons Intrepid Jack..Newbury 2.20Dont be put off by the form figures as his three races this season have been a lot better than at first glance. Second to Fyodor in a cl 2 back in May. probably been his worst runHe then run tenth in the Wokingham going down less than 4 lengthsand most definitely loosing 3 lengths when finishing fast. Blocked at a crucial timethen having to switch right.very unlucky and would have certainly been placed!Up to Group company and down in distance in his last race behind Ancien Regime not disgraced although only seventh he was held up last from a low drawand was running on to go down by under 3 lengths. The second horse Prime Defender ran a cracker to only be btn. 2 lengths in the 227.000 Group 1 Darley July Cup.Some form line! Trade priced @ 11/1 betfair 16/1.although Intrepid has to beat a hotpot in Corrybrough he is back to his best trip and terrific value!

The other horse I like today is Nine StoriesRipon 3.30he lost his way at the backend of last seasonhence he is now racing off his lowest mark[80] His first race of this season was over 9f.the furthest he has travelled.only going down 2 lengths in a class 2.Struggled in the soft last time and was not bashed about when it was clear two furlongs from home he was not enjoying the race back to 9f plus today and on better ground should see him run his racea bit of a punt as the trainer is not in great form.but Jockey booking significantand will get plenty of help in the saddleI dont think the horse is ungenuine Winston will test him! Best price 16/1

You will certainly get a run for your money with Rationale Newbury 3.55 back to his distance and on ground that will suit sure to go welltrainer in form.last 8 runners have produced 2 winners3 secondsand 3 unplaced.@ 50/1..28/1..11/2 sand track. Best priced 14/1

Please use this info to help your own judgement

Good luck.

tabasco - 19 Jul 2008 15:45 - 88 of 9624

Hope you are all onNine Stories did his best to jack it in a few times.thank you Robert!
This could be a very big pay-day!

tabasco - 19 Jul 2008 17:31 - 89 of 9624

Plenty to play with so lets find one for tonight!
Interesting runner tonight is the old boy Sphinx Haydock 8-10he has held his form really well and still contesting good handicaps as a 10yofrom the twenty races he has run over the last three years he has run eleven times on the softer or soft side of good He has won or been placed on eight occasions only being out of the first four on three..and all three were in higher grades than tonight. He has gone from a top rating of 90 in this time down to 80... With Robert Winston riding him for the third consecutive timeand in lot softer grond conditions.this could be significantFactotum has had his chances and was an odds on btn fav. last time.Bollin Felix I dont like and is a perpetual loser.and there is not much to make a case for the restSpinx is only 7/1 but in a small field of this class he looks a sound e/w bet.

MONEYTALKS - 19 Jul 2008 17:50 - 90 of 9624

Thanks tabasco, will have a small e/w bet on Sphinx, leaving the rest of today's winnings firmly in the bank while i'm ahead!
Good luck.

MONEYTALKS - 25 Jul 2008 13:49 - 99 of 9624

Hi moneyplus, a lucky 15 bet involves picking 1 selection in each of 4 different races/events. (15 bets win, 30 bets each-way)
Minimum 1 winner (or place if e/w) to produce a return.
Good luck!

moneyplus - 25 Jul 2008 13:58 - 100 of 9624

thanks MT. I don't think Sportingbet does this. Here's hoping Tabasco comes up with a good one tomorrow.

tabasco - 25 Jul 2008 19:02 - 101 of 9624

Having to write this earlycant advise on pricesapologies

The Saturday value bets this week is Yorkshire-based trainer J.J.Quinns Mastership.. Ascot 3-40...He started his season with a pipe-opener btn. 9L behind Tombi. His second run was slightly down in grade.. 2nd behind Musaalem one of todays runners.. and btn. 1 3/4L [Mastership has 6lb turn around].This I belive is better form than the race suggest. Musaalem is a Willie Haggas improver that is unbeaten in his only three runs and now running off a rating of 94could eventually be a group horse?.
His most recent effort was Newmarkets 62k Bunbury Cupthis was a distinct improvement but his race was full of hard luck storieschecked at the startcruising on the bridle only to be checked again at a vital part of the race..then responding but with to much to do and only being btn.1 by Little White Liea previous last race winner.the second horse Lovelace was a Mark Johnstone previous last race winner.the third Regal Perade a Nicholls previous last race winner and the sixth also a previous last race winner. Lovelace ..Giganticus (USA) Capricorn Run (USA) Dhaular Dhar (IRE) Zaahid (IRE) and Artimino all reopose on similer terms. With the run of the race I believe Mastership can nick this trappy event..Dangers.Musaalem and Dhaular Dhar

Another one I like today is Casa Catalina Newcastle 4:30...Mark Johnstone trains this one and I am sure this filly is capable of better things As a 2yo she lead the Goffs Fillies Million at the Curragh only to fall away with Lush Lashes eventually going on to winno mean feat though to lead that field! This year her best race was going down to Military Power [a previous 3L winner] in a class 2 btn 1 LThe grey.. Inspector Clouseau finnish 1L in front of the selectionbut is three pound worse offadd to the fact he had a soft leadI confidentally expect the selection to finnish in frontThe fourth horse.. Swinging Sixties went on to win her next race comfortably. Casa Catalina last race was at Chester... a track I believe did not suit.she ran a poor race and can be forgiven. I think the g/f ground she had in the Goffs race will bring the best out of her tomorrow.

Please use this info to help your own judgement

Good luck.

2517GEORGE - 26 Jul 2008 13:50 - 102 of 9624

tabasco's fancies are around 9/1 & 10/1 respectively, although my preference in the 3.40 Ascot is King's Apostle, which I have also done.

Ascot 2.35 Rose Diamond around 6/1.

Good luck all

I like Rose Diamond but chose April Pride---might just go e/w on your choice as well though.
