Remember when very few cars had a radio, now its common place.
Electric windows, sun-roofs and air-con where for top of the range vehicles.
Only XR3i and GTIs had fuel injection.
Now we are seeing SAT-NAV and in-car DVD and LCD SCREENS being fitted by car owners These are considered luxury items still or add-on kits.
We are now seeing SAT-NAV and in-car entertainment systems being fitted to more and more new cars, this will be the expected norm in the future.
DVL has over 15 years experience in the development and supply of in-car audio visual entertainment and satellite navigation solutions, with key strengths in the following areas:
Research and development
Concept design
CAD design and support
Programme management
OEM engineering liaison
Hard and soft trim fabrication
Performance and safety verification
Component manufacturing
Production assembly
Logistics management

With yet another contract added again today I feel that Designer Vision Ltd is the stock to back and get in early on the car entertainment boom.

Bought again this morning - Almost all my eggs in one basket now. My timing was perfect having bought at the bottom at under 3p end of Feb and topping up on the dips as we go. If only I could get it right more often.

My exit stragegy for DVS is a Stop-Loss 20% below current price and move it up on major moves. Hopefully I don't sell too soon that way.

Very slow today, would expect a drop tomorrow if there is no news. Although if it drops people waiting in the wings to get on at under 8p again.

Support level hopefully 7.5p, it's a gamble being out when news could be announced anytime.

Looks like it may be on the way down for a while. It was a bit of a steep rise without any indication of what profit they might make from recent deals.

Can anyone out there advise me, as a potential investor in DVS, what the potential is here for capital growth? DVS turned over 2.5m in 2004 but showed a 331k loss. In 2005 they turned over 9.2m but still showed a 370k loss. I am guessing that the attraction here is what may happen with the new contracts and a rise in the share price to match. But is it just hope or am I missing something more fundamental?

The deals they have won where we have a value come to around 17 million dollars plus the numerus other deals we don't have a value. We expect them to announce they are into profit, gross profit is maybe 5 - 12%.

I take it on good authority that some people have spoken to the FD.
One of the points mentioned by the FD is that Margins are improving.
Furthermore the company said that it will be profitable during this year.
Gotta love the amounts of contracts won.....with more on the way ( see RNS's ).

Cheers for the upbeat comments.
One other question: The new guy on the board has been employed & I quote:
"After leaving Cambridge University, Zafar joined Saloman Brothers and
subsequently was assistant Director with NM Rothschild until 2002. He has over
a decade of experience in mergers and acquisitions and raising capital."
Presumably this might mean another share issue or similar if DVS is a bit strapped for cash?
I now have a stake in DVS, so these are meant to be constructive questions!
