That's two of us dumbstruck, bos! Stop losses shaken out? At support level now from last month. Odd!

This cannot be more than boredom with lack of news having been the case for too long, particularly from the States, with all of those trained retro fit engineers meant to be in place to get a rapid start to the roll-out there.
Tuesday's EGM had better be special. If the Board expects a 10 minute wonder that would not be a good move on their part. The only consolation is that other stocks with good stories also seem to be weakening so a bounce back is virtually assured when newsflow resumes.

Hi All,
2,000,000 WT buy at the end, and a 2,000,000 X trade right before it ????
Someone wanted 2m shares at a good price before the EGM, and they may have caused part of the drop, by wanting the stock below a certain price (19p ?)
Only two days to get in or back in before the EGM, only one way the price is going, and thats back above 20p ....
Cheers,
PM

Can anyone explain reason for EGM? TIA

The SP is odd especially with the B/S ratio, unless there are some undisclosed deals during the day overhanging. But it is not the only MMS oddities today.
I can see any real down, but SP is a little frustrating at the moment.

Could the 2 x 2M trades be sells worked over the last couple of days?

seroxat: your suggestion makes sense. The fall in sp seems diofficult to understand on the basis of known trading but if two large sell orders have been worked then we now have the average price of the sales. The good news is presumably that these are now out of the way. A couple of 100K buys after hours were above the closing price. Hence there should be a recovery tomorrow.
DSTOREY: the primary reason for the EGM was initially to ap[prove the acquisition of Biotec and the half sale to SP Metals. In the RNS of 5th August, SEO added a provision to issue 46m shares for cash which would allow further placements for raising funds at short notice and, secondly, an increase in borrowing powers from 10m to 25m. Both make sense in relation to the growing scale of operations. Absolutely necessary to have both powers to support a period of rapid growth. I read these as positive in terms of the ramping up of sales.
I only wish I had spare to funds to add to my holdings at this price. There is a 50% run-up potential at least on positive news from the US. Having said that, whilst Tuesday will no doubt give a progress report it may not be the hard news to give that boost to the sp. I don't see that any company has any responsibility to traders in their shares. They have responsibilities, of course, to investors, but not to provide them with a quick buck.

I assume the X trade was a dealer to dealer trade for someone who was short of funds and the WT (worked principal trade) I am not sure, but seems to be an order to buy at a tight price being filled. Can the MMs move the price down in order to underbid the price for a large order, so they get their turn?
It certainly looks artificial/manipulated to me - unless you are telling me there is bad news to be discounted which is not in the PD yet.

SD Hi,
Agreed, and as I said earlier, only 2 days left to get in before the EGM, and many will want to do so, therefore pushing the price back above 20p by the close on friday.
Maybe the drop was simply to allow traders in on the cheap ?
I'm not scared that easily anyway :))))

Not sure we're going to get significant news on Tuesday, would they put out an RNS first thing knowing that many shareholders are making their way across London to the egm where they weren't in a position to follow the market reaction. Likewise i doubt SP affecting news will be given out during the meeting for the very same reason, I would love to be proved wrong!
Think it unlikely that a large US contract will be announced prior to the purchase of biotec as the use of biodegradeable trays must surely form part of the complex negotiations involved in the 'complete turnkey solution' that these major companies are looking at. However, once the egm shennanigans are out of the way then the RNS we've been waiting for could come at any time.

Any RNS on Tuesday would almost certainly have to be released simultaneously with the meeting ie around 10.00. Whether they can yet announce anything is open to debate but it is some time since the last RNS, at least by their standards.

Jam tomorrow now looking like jam quite some time after tomorrow - MUCH LOWER take up rate for conversions - no interest in trials in the US - more LOSSES to be reported at the next results - increased LOSSES to be reported at next results - large SELLS (timing makes them look like buys) - perhaps some PIs are now seeing the warning signs - ? - lots of questions now.
The point is SEO has not for many years made any profit - and remains loss making - and will almost certainly be loss making next year - they have no real orders - and yet 1000 are in the price already - there is nothing weird in a retrace back to where its fundamentals are - and the fundamentals are a loss making company with just some good idea's - and there are many of those around - just this one has been ramped and hyped far beyond where the price should be.

Tell all of your avid listeners how you know what the conversion take up actually is.
Answer:
You have no idea whatsoever.
Do you actually believe that every time SEO complete a conversion a RNS will be issued? If you do, then you are a bigger idiot than everyone thinks.

Insiderinside.
As ptholden has stated. No one knows what the take up rate is. We can't expect an RNS every time an order is received. Certain numbers of machines to be converted were mentioned after the completion of the trials. I expect we will get the occasional update ( probably at the EGM ) and periodically over the remainder of the 12 months exclusivity period. If a notice was released on the adaption of each machine no doubt the cry would be that SEO are releasing news of little substance.
