Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Is it worth toppin up or are we likely to see a fall back after all this good news? Am in for the long term but wonder if anyone has any views on where this is likely to go?

AdieH - should pull back, but when did BPRG ever do anything it "should" do.
I'd top up myself if nematode would lend me a couple of stock certs. LOL!!!!

Hi Big Al, Dil
I hope that you did tuck away a few, but I suspect that you'll keep them close at hand rather than necessarily for the long term.
One should certainly never fall in love with any share but I'm sure that you can perhaps now understand a little better that this seems a somewhat different to the norm to many people - the stuff of dreams maybe.
There should be one or more pull-backs but perhaps the few percent inter-day movements will have to do. If there are no more shares to be issued, although I suspect that BM will sell some of his 10m, then the ADR take-up alone could be very significant for the SP.

Been in and out four times now aol but currently have no position. Did the same with Baltimore a few years ago which went from 250p up to 13000p but would have been better off buying and holding.

John - 60p? You clever little mudman! ;-)) Hope you binned TRK a while ago.
aol - I have an account that is purely for longer term shares, some I've had for a few years and I consider long termers. It's not an account I trade or necessarily use often. Indeed, this is probably the first timne I've ever mentioned it on a BB, but threw a few in there a few weeks ago. Don't tell anyone, but I'm a secretive BPRG long. LOL! Funnily enough I traded it short whilst I had that "long term" holding. An investment is an investment and a trade is a trade.
My whole thing about putting them in that account is that they are AIM and the tax advantages further down the line might just be very fruitful. ;-))

Big Al - best of luck, we should all do very well, with a few ups and downs, as the story develops.
I've perhaps too many, but nicely in profit and even the near term possibilities could be a bit exciting as I believe there is a fair chance of some more irrational exuberance as the news flow develops and the NAS listing approaches.
I keep trying to trade a few shares but it usually ends up with an even bigger holding!
DIL - you ought to have a few long term, well for the next couple of months anyway.

Press comment
THE TELEGRAPH
Charcoal and tortoise blood were once considered good enough to cleanse the teeth, but dental hygiene has moved on and thanks to UK company Bioprogress is about to take another leap forward.
The Aim-listed company, which makes films that dissolve in the mouth, yesterday announced a tie-up with Colgate Palmolive for the launch of a new Max Fresh toothpaste with "Mini Breath Strips" - strips of film Bioprogress claims gives "explosions of breath freshness".
Toothpaste has traditionally been sold on the premise of scientific innovation. Once, people cleaned their teeth with charcoal, and drank tortoise blood.
In 1892 toothpaste was put into a tube. More recently, innovations have included stripes of active ingredients.
Bioprogress said Max Fresh will be the first whitening toothpaste with mini breath strips. Its shares rose 12.5 to 107.5p.

Breath of fresh air for toothpaste

The Guardian
Bioprogress, which makes products including colostomy bags and drug capsules, has done a deal to put dissolvable breath-freshening strips into Colgate toothpaste.
Small squares of a soluble minty film are mixed in with the whitening toothpaste. It is about to be launched in the US, where Colgate will conduct a television advertising campaign; if that works the company will roll out a worldwide launch.
Bioprogress and US company Colgate-Palmolive have been developing the product - which will be branded as Max Fresh - for two years.
Graham Hind, the chief executive of Bioprogress, said: "Consumers have taken very well to 'in the mouth' breath fresheners".
The company is in the process of producing degradable colostomy bags that can be flushed down the lavatory rather than emptied, and has also developed capsules for drugs that do not contain gelatine, a meat product.

Al,
Dumped TRK a long time ago, never really had enough faith to hold long-term.
Made a few hundred on them, but sold out far too early. The decision proved right, but the timing wasn't the best. Still a profit is a profit :-)
