Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Dil,
And become as reliable a trading partner to others as we were to the EU.
Brilliant!
Just watch the Financial Services race to Europe.

fred- out of curiosity, how many (ex) homeless are you now putting up in your house? .... you must have at least one spare bedroom and no doubt a sofa and some floor space to accommodate sleeping bags et al
and no of course i have no interest in being such a good samaritan, though you always tell us we should be
....... so time for you to stand up and tell and show all that you do indeed practice what you preach

Manuel.
Perhaps it would better for you to reflect on your own ancestry than my current practices.

Fred , when will you get it that the EU operates the most protectionist policies of any world trading bloc.
It's the EU who are crapping on the rest of the world and are the worlds nasty neighbours.

i just knew that fred would not answer the question ...... nothing changes and of course he does not practice what he preaches
fwiw, jewish refugess at the turn of the 20th century, when necessary, were often looked after by their own community .... assuredly there was no comfort blanket nor safety net of the welfare system

Manuel,
Take your blinkers off and look back again.

You thought of another bloc who are more anti world trade yet Fred or do you want a bit more time to think about it.
And for those who think our financial sector will fall down a black hole if we leave with no deal then your living in cloud cuckoo land.
EU is crapping itself a damn sight more than we should be but are playing a blinder so far in negotiations.
I'm not adverse to doing a decent deal with them but I'm also not afraid of telling them to stuff it if they push their luck to far.

fred - surely you're not going to claim that uk welcomed jewish refugess with open arms in the late 30s?
i assume you accept that british naval ships blocked or even sank jewish refugee ships trying to reach israel in the late 40 and early 50s

Are you praising or condemning the action of some or all in the 30s,40s and 50s?
If so which actions do you think praiseworthy?
Are you suggesting the sinking of "immigrants' boats" in the ME resolves problems?
If so for whom is it problem-solving.

According to the Sunday Times, Theresa May is facing a coup plot to put Brexit-backers Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Jacob Rees-Mogg in power.
The trio would take on the roles of Prime Minister, deputy Prime Minister and Chancellor, respectively,
the newspaper says.
It comes amid continuing Tory divisions over whether Britain should remain in a customs union with the EU after Brexit.

I don't know what effect these men will have upon the enemy, but, by God, they frighten me.

Not many people know, that JRM had 'double-breasted pyjamas'.
But George Galloway does, and furthermore, he says all the top political leaders are all 'mad men' and with fingers on their nuclear buttons. That is, excepting Theresa May, who is obviously not a mad
man.

And George Galloway's lift goes all the way to the top floor? After dressing as a cat and licking cream off Rula Lenska, some might say that he's a bit of a madman himself.
