Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

I'd like an option on stockwatch to code the prices blue/red on the basis of the last tick rather than up/down on the day. Most (semi)professional systems work in this way and it's what you want if you're daytrading. It "feels" very strange to see e.g. the FTSE increasing and yet remain red.

qwento - 29 Mar 2003 16:25 - 859 of 7315

The case of the disappearing trade volume still seems to haunt MoneyAM. Has anybody any ideas where for example 19 million shares traded in VOD on Friday have gone and the 13 million in HSBA. I find the rather large discrepancies a tad disconcerting.

From MoneyAM's homepage I seem to have missed the deal of the century. Practically everyday this week Getronics Nv Eu (whoever they are) have gone up 264% according to the 'LSE Biggest Winners' list - although the price hasn't changed from 25.50. I am also intrigued from quite where the 75% gain on 'Innovation Grp' has come from - are we both looking at the same LSE I wonder ?

Unless the EOD figures from the LSE are up the creek then although volumes for the FTSE 100 are on the light side, they are perhaps not quite so light as MoneyAM would make out. A difference of 521 million is perhaps a little on the wide side.

After LOGIN it would be nice to go somewhere rather than just end up still on the start page. Could this be a user chosen page or just the thread index of either Investors or Traders.

kajman - 01 Apr 2003 06:29 - 862 of 7315

Haystack - you can save any number of moneyam pages in your browser "favourites" section. Or you can save them as shortcuts on your desktop.

Then when you hit one of these links you will be taken to the appropriate page, via the logon page.

Charts

When I specify a time range of the last week I only seem to see the end of day price points.

Any chance of charts with ranges > 1 day with intraday points plotted?

Felix(MoneyAM) - 01 Apr 2003 08:58 - 864 of 7315

Aware there is demand for 'multi-intraday charts'. These are fairly
high up the to-do list. At the moment I'm working on
streaming charts (see the Beta Streaming Charts thread).

Thanks Felix
That will be one less reason to visit the old place. :-)

kajman
Yes, but I like to go in via the front page to see the headlines etc. and would rather be taken somewhere else as I logon than go back to the front page again.

kajman - 01 Apr 2003 15:22 - 867 of 7315

haystack, I see.

Can't you read the front page then click to where you want to go - it will ask you to log in and then take you there, isn't that what you want?

Mr Euro - 01 Apr 2003 15:29 - 868 of 7315

Adny lovell do you have a sister called Jennifer?

TheLurker - 08 Apr 2003 10:37 - 869 of 7315

Why can't I add ISF/IEUR to my stockwatch?

Also why is it necessary to upgrade to access CW prices (I get it free somewhere else which I would rather not have to do)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Apr 2003 11:06 - 870 of 7315

TheLurker,

You should have free access to the warrants section of our site - I have got the tech team working on this - please accept my apologies for any inconvenience.

You should also be able to put iShares into your stockwatch list - again I have spoken to the tech team who will resolve this today and you will have access to this feature.

minor grumble - I get logged out after a few hours inactivity - is this normal / neccessary??

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Apr 2003 11:17 - 872 of 7315

mbbcat,

should log you out after 4 hours of inactivity - was it just the 2 hours for you?

Ian

TheLurker - 08 Apr 2003 11:53 - 873 of 7315

IanT> Much obliged ... now you can see why I don't want to use the other side at all (now if only I can manage to lose my credit card ... lol)

TheLurker - 10 Apr 2003 08:34 - 874 of 7315

I can now access the warrants pages (thankyou) but might I suggest that although Sedol codes are very nice Epics would be a lot more useful. The prices also seem delayed, do you plan to make live prices available?

I still, however, cannot add ISF/IEUR to my Stockwatch and neither can I add warrants. Any idea when this will be possible please?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Apr 2003 08:40 - 875 of 7315

TheLurker,

Thank you for your comments - you should be able to add ISF/IEUR to your stockwatch later today.

Mr Euro:
> Adny lovell do you have a sister called Jennifer?

Nope - but I do have a sister called Debbie. She lives in Suffolk.

&ltnitpick&gtThe window title for the Investors' BB seems to have become "Investers"... Also apostrophes are missing from both the Traders' and the Investors' BB window title&lt/nitpick&gt
