This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.
You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.
So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.
A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.
This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.
There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :
www.seftonresources.com
There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

I predict WTVs % rise in sp will be greater than that of SER.

MJR - i don't trade shares for a living, but by golly it isn't just fun! ..... that's for fantasy portfolios which are certainly not my bag ..... when you put proper money where your mouth is, you can back your gut instinct as much as you like, and then please tell us all your success rate.

Cynic - I can't imagine you'd buy without doing your own homework first. Each to their own scientific or gut instinct whats your point? My late granmother used to bet horses, "Hes got a nice hat" and the bet was on, she was very sucessfull, I on the other hand with horses don't share her luck....

cynic,
This is all about a long-term investment for me. I'm not trying to make money in a few days or weeks, I've been continually accumulating these at prices between 0.26 and 0.53p for the last 8-9 months.
My "guesses" of the share price next week are just a bit of fun to pass the time.

the reasons i think sefton is worth a gamble, they haVe increased production from 50 bopd to 200 in the first stage of there drilling programe. they haVe said steam could increase this to 800bopd,they haVe gas could be used for powering steaming, they should be starting new programe of drilling this year .new interest in coal bed gas,if all this comes off there old highs of 4-6p could be seen again.i like the oils been in and out of most, now holding ser, afr, sey, hnr,pVr,eme, fao, zba, ael, fto, txo, pre, gtl, alk.

MJR1234 - 'my guesses of the sp next week are just a bit of fun to pass the time'
Welll i hope you make that caveat every time you do that. Coz otherwise your views would be worthless!
Ur response might be: people should make their own decisions
My reply: yes they should. But people should not be here to ramp. As that is what your in fact doing!!!"!

jameel,
You clearly don't know what "ramping" means. Talking positively about a stock is not "ramping", neither is making predictions. Go and look it up.

If you hold AFR then you should buy EEL to increase your chances in that area.

2. share ramping (100%)
The process of influencing the share price of a company and then taking advantage of it, for example by buying shares in a company when they are at a low price and then starting a rumour that the company is being taken over. When the share price ...

MJR1234...... surprising that you make no comment on why your ' guesses of the sp next week are just a bit of fun to pass the time'
Why would one do that? MJR1234!! I guess either:
1. u have nothing better to do; and/or
2 ur desperate for the odd 0.5% increase and/or
3. possibly ones not all there! and ur pleadiung insanity as a defence?
Which one is it? If its 3, then we recommend the hospital for treatment. If its 1 then we suggest get a life and if its 2, you ought to be banned from this site.
:-)! Hey no hard feelings!

Thanks aldwickk. No made-up rumours or lies on here, just facts and maybe a bit speculation/guesswork based on those facts. But there is never any attempt to mislead, or try and persuade people to buy in and move the share price (even if that were possible on this stock). As i've stated many times, I'm in this for the long-term gains - an investment, this is not a short-term in-and-out stock, and as I always state, and have made clear in the header - every investor should DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH before dealing in any stock.

Ten bagger ? HIF @10p ..with nearly every major house having been forced by disclosure rules to declare thier 3%+ plus interest and a plethora of houses with principal positions there is too much clever money or rather. clever players money backing this for it to fail .......mais qui sait ? je suppose ? But thats the beauty of it all . Who does "REALLY " know ? .. . As for SER i suspect there are an army of holders in the 1.000.000 + bracket @ 0.027p { 2,700 quid } and will sell on a on fractional movement . ..0,027p was SER 's nadir yet many who bought at that level are already selling. Without wishing to sound aloof , i suppose dor some the idea of 2700 profit is to much to ignore. But with 0.5 ish appearing as the support level they realise they sold too early . This is one for the future ,,,,an acorn ...A long term lnvestors share . Not one for a traders or anyone in the lookout for quick money . Sheeeet !! Looking through SER s acreage value in "Alexanders" and its not that far short of current m/c . Not so long ago EEN were a burnt out penny share with little interest and a farcical spread . Now after a share consolidation, robust management and some good strikes they are soaring ...Perhaps this should be the best route for SER ....A 100~1 ratio giving it a s/p of 27p would give this paint dryer a bit of volatility and exposure ...@+ J ...Bonne chance mes amies. Blah, Blah Blah French Connection (aka Bluedolphine/Katcenka etc), what a load of rambling rubbish, but that's not untypical for you.
Anyway, back to SER, I'm feeling very positive for next week. Looking at the wedge formation on the chart, with decreasing highs, level/slightly increasing lows, and decreasing volume, it's make your mind up time for the price next week. As I said in my earlier post, I expect it to move significantly one way or the other as it breaks out of this formation.
Now, given the fact that there has been consistent net buying over the last 3 weeks, with the majority of sells coming from HOODS gullibles, and combined with the positive fundamentals and imminent news, which we all know will be good (those of use who have done their research, asked the right questions and read between the lines), I know which dirction my money is on.
No doubt the pointless de-rampers who hang around this thread like a bad smell (potatohead/TheFrench/Katcenka etc - probably all the same pointless individual), will state the complete opposite (albeit with the usual lack of facts or figures to back them up).
Anyway as they say the proof is in the pudding, so lets just wait and see what happens..
