How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

SA vs Sri Lanka game starting at 11am - crucial game to see who plays Aus in the final

Looks like SA may be without Pollock or he may just play as a batsman - if so will leave them woefully short of bowling with Ntini, Nel and Kallis already out

Pollock fit to play and bowl but SL win toss and bat first

Well I traded well up till the interval and then like a complete muppet since. Got a pretty nasty looking book with 20 overs left - gonna need some luck to get out of this one with a profit

The nice Sri Lankan spinners have got me out of a nasty hole with a small profit - not worth staying up but a lot better than it could have been

Hard luck on that one Steve.
Will be watching Birmingham v Reading. Haven't an opinion on it yet and will wait and see what happens.

Reading is my local club. They are not bothered about the FA CUP they just want to keep players fit to win the championship and get promotion. I don't think they will win unless Brum are dire.

Add the fact that Reading aren't too interested in tonight's replay. They were very disappointed when the first game ended up a draw.
Anyway, I've jumped on board at 1.6
