copied from another site

"Just found this on the Packworld.com website.

"Wal-Mart vp to speak at Sustainable Packaging Forum

WEB EXCLUSIVE: A Wal-Mart representative will discuss sustainable packaging at Packaging Strategies Sustainable Packaging Forum to take place October 17-19, 2005, in Philadelphia."

It's in their breaking news section so is presumably a very recent announcement. Looks like Stateside could well be right!

The global commercial director of NatureWorks will also be speaking;

"Matt Kistler, vp of product development and packaging for Sams Club, and Snehal Desai, global commercial director of NatureWorks, LLC, will deliver an extended presentation titled Driving Sustainable Packaging Through the Supply Chain: Challeneges to Innovation and Market Leadership"

I wouldn't be atall surprised if Mondini were to display their new tray lidding machine incorporating Stanelco's RF technology as well.

Mid-October could be a good time to be an SEO holder!"

OK - I need some help here.

If SEO have formed a collaboration with Nature works

.....and Natureworks has a collaboration with WalMart at the exhibition mentioned above.... am I putting 2 & 2 together and making 3,4 or 5.

"An extensive release outlining Wal-Mart and NatureWorks' sustainable packaging initiative will be available the day of the presentation"

To me it seems to imply that SEO, Natureworks and WM are all working together and they will be telling the world ABOUT what it is they are doing re reducing costusing biodegradable products etc in the supply chain at this conference in October.

..or am I being a bit dim here ???

The news was good - not what we expected - but another piece in the jig saw.

SEO is a bit like the swan - maintaining a serene outlook above the surface whilst paddling like hell beneath the surface.

There appears to be an awful lot going on at the moment - and I think our expectations are perhaps a bit optimistic. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind where this share is going - I just cannot fathom the timeframe. I have always said that I would be ecstatic with 30 by Xmas and over the moon with anything more - a view I still hold.

Baza & Paul

Whilst I sincerely hope that you are both right, I think that it is a little to simplistic to just assume that because Natureworks and WalMart are doing a presentation at the Exhibition in Philly that there will be an announcement about a tie up with SEO.

Can anybody confirm with a degree of certainty that the 4m trade after hours was a buy?

Hope so as that will bolster any flagging moral following a less than exhilirating RNS today in comparison to what we would hope it would be.

Having said that, I do believe that this share is going to move sharply north when that announcement comes.

Oilywag - 30 Aug 2005 17:12 - 8714 of 27111

Looks like a second 4m buy after 5pm. That'll keep the price supported tomorrow.

Perhaps "that" big announcement is nearer than we all think!

Hi Oily,

You mentioned last week that you would let us know the name of the supermarket trialing Starpol on Wednesday this week after the EGM. Still ok to do so ?

paulmasterson1 - 30 Aug 2005 17:32 - 8716 of 27111

Hi All,

Those WT trades may not be buys, they could just as easily be sells.

It takes all day to fill the WT trade, and they are floating in the middle of the overall prices today ....

Tomorrow will tell ....

I sold the last of mine today, hope to buy back in if the price drifts on no news, will try anyway to get back in bye Oct 17th.

Oilywag - 30 Aug 2005 18:07 - 8720 of 27111

Sellsell

I think that you should change your name to buybuy!

Will hopefully touch base with my students and let you know if the news is positive, which I fully expect it to be.

thanks for your input

bosley - 30 Aug 2005 18:18 - 8722 of 27111

sharesure said he would be writing up his thoughts on todays egm later this evening. i can't wait......

stockdog - 30 Aug 2005 18:42 - 8723 of 27111

or even "holdhold" might reflect actuality more acurately!?

I thought today's announcement and the EGM news was spot on. You get to the top of the mountain not so much by what you do as by the fact that no one stops you. When was the last piece of "stopping" news froom SEO? They move onwards and upwards - remember they are not trading the share, they are adding value to the business which is what I have invested in.

aldwick, I'm interested to see if you called it right - possibly, but I'm backing the incipient break through the 22p resistance, having just about conquered and sustained the 50dma today.

btw - I read both those 4m trades as buys going through at > 21.125 which was mid price at close of business today - what else supported the SP consistently above 21p in the face of all those other sells, do you think?

superrod - 30 Aug 2005 19:42 - 8724 of 27111

the news was unexpected ( by me at least due to the real slalwarts attending the egm.......I MEAN.....what a kick in the goolies to release an RNS when peeps are on the train scoffing their marmite sarnies ). i took this opp to exit with a rather nice profit. if i cant buy back cheaper so be it......but BUY BACK i will when the conditions are right.
