The Yen is well known as the best trending currency, Ruth. It'll trend easily with or without news and you nearly always get a good signal in early London trade.

Yesterday morning was the odd exception, when it ranged until midday before it broke humungously. So much so that Chocopops spilled her Chocopops in her excitement and Doris nearly choked on his sushi.

Edit: Friday afternoon is normally not the place to be with the Yen, as it winds down for the weekend. It is the place to be for cable though.

Daisy: Commodity prices easing so should the AUD and NZD, so having lamb for lunch, hope that helps!

Hils, im looking at both eur jpy and gbp jpy, both lovely this morning, every time frame on both is bullish at moment , the buy sigs are proving fantatically reliable , going to be really getting into this next week, looking forward to it, i love a new challenge,

10am call today :)

hilary - 02 Nov 2007 10:06 - 8748 of 11056

You mean you won't be trying the Witchetty Grubs and Skippy 'Nads, Doris?

chocolat - 02 Nov 2007 10:08 - 8749 of 11056

Think he already has those afflictions, Hils.

Bullshare - 02 Nov 2007 10:11 - 8750 of 11056

Daisy; Not many places in London sell them, although I think the concession food at Chelsea resemble skippy Nads!

I see SoS has realised that this is the girly and cross gender thread. He's found his natural home - we won't be able to get rid of him now - especially 'cos he can get exotic foodstuffs over here as well.

Welcome aboard big boy :)

Not another sailor ;)

I'm wondering if there might be some big short pips to be made on cable at the end of an exciting week for the GBP - made historic highs a number of times this week - is it time to take some profits or are we on our way to the inevitable 2.1000?

I've got a short to open @ 21112 and 21212 - cos they're magic numbers (well, they are for me anyway).

Mystic meggers

Guessing if $/Yen keeps making lower highs now, scary mary will top around 240.50.

Unless that was it before ;)

hilary - 02 Nov 2007 13:38 - 8755 of 11056

I think the top may already be in and I'm already short, Chocopops. After your email the other day, I've been playing around with some different variations of a similar theme trying to get the jaggediness (is that a word?) out of it. I'll mail you either over the weekend or early next week with some further thoughts.

chocolat - 02 Nov 2007 13:47 - 8756 of 11056

Oooh I like the sound of that, cheers Hils.
Nothing like a bit of smooth, as the actress said to the pope, I can hear meggers saying.

Yep I'm short too, but happy to add.

chocolat - 02 Nov 2007 13:51 - 8757 of 11056

Think you can safely assume that Dezza will add jaggediness to his lexicon now - although I quite like jaggiddiness as a further permutation ;)

mg - 02 Nov 2007 13:55 - 8758 of 11056

There's no need to take the words out of my mouth - but I must admit it is better that taking them from where they normally come from :)

Wouldn't mind having a look if you're feeling generous Hilpopidoodah

I was gonna say I'll show you mine if you show me yours but I thought better of it - haven't got a lot to show ;(

MightyMicro - 02 Nov 2007 13:56 - 8759 of 11056

"jaggiddiness" added to FX techie lexicon. Hello girls. Oh, and hello sailor.

hilary - 02 Nov 2007 14:09 - 8760 of 11056

It's going like the clappers again, Chocopops. Maybe the lamb was off and Doris decided on another helping of sushi.

:o)

mg - 02 Nov 2007 14:14 - 8761 of 11056

Hiya Cap'n Micro - only cruising through - if yanahwarramean <8-)

hilary - 02 Nov 2007 14:23 - 8762 of 11056

That'll do me. It's the bit in the middle that I like. Funnily enough, I think that's something else that the actress said to the pope.

hilary - 02 Nov 2007 14:31 - 8763 of 11056

In for a penny and all that, so reversed to long.

edit: Ooops. Stopped flat.
