MCS signs international animation producer Cake Entertainment

Music Copyright Solutions has signed an exclusive worldwide music publishing administration agreement with Cake Entertainment, a children's and animated programme producer and distributor.

Cake has recently launched the animated series 'Skunk Fu!' on ABC in Australia, BBC1 in the UK, Canal J in France and Warner Bros Kids in the USA.

MCS creative director, Guy Fletcher, commented: The music in Skunk Fu is created by Chris Bemand and exemplifies the 'first division' nature of his work. One of MCS' favourite composers, this is his second major series for Cake. The first being King Arthur's disasters for the ITV network in 2006.

We are delighted to sign the production company behind these great series and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.

Earlier this week MCS signed a worldwide music publishing administration agreement with Bellhaus Entertainment Inc in the Philippines.

Galleon is pleased to announce that 'Skunk fu!,' the animated TV series has now
been sold to Cartoon Network Europe and Disney Latin America. This means that
Skunk fu! will now be broadcast to a global audience across all major continents
of Europe, Asia, North America, Australia, Africa and Latin America.

The show aired in the UK on the BBC where it was the highest rated show for
children aged 6-11 in its timeslot and also in the US on Kids WB Network where
along with Scooby Doo it was also their highest rated show for kids aged 6-11.

Skunk fu!, created by Aidan Harte, is a 52 x 13' animated comedy action
adventure for kids aged 6-11. Skunk is a western kid learning Kung Fu from a
wise old Panda in China, so that he can help the resistance fight against the
evil Dragon and his army of Ninja Monkeys.

Skunk fu! is a Cartoon Saloon, Cake Entertainment and Telegael co-production for
TG4 (Ireland) and SUPER RTL (Germany).

All audiovisual exploitation rights are controlled by Cake Distribution and all
licensing and merchandising rights are controlled by Galleon Plc. Both Cake
Entertainment and Galleon Plc are equity owners in the Skunk fu! property.

Great news and bodes well for GON to take full advantage of their global licensing/merchandising rights in Autumn/Winter 2008,if not before.

I would imagine we will receive further announcements early next year regarding deals with toy manufacturers along with further regional deals for DVD distribution.

Should be a good 2008 with Skunk Fu and GON's own IP's all coming to the fore. :-)

Edit-and not forgetting Phoenix of course which has the potential to bring in large and continuous revenue streams from the Far East.Oh,and Croco too!

Then on 23 October 2007 GON announces the Phoenix deal a company that was only established in JULY who's customers include Hunan ETV and Guangdong TV:

services which allow broadcasters in China and South East Asia to provide
interactive entertainment that their audiences can access through TV, online and
mobile. Its customers are leading broadcasters such as Hunan ETV, Hunan
