rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.
for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ
for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

just back from london - am actually contemplating selling the golf club (or farr vintners) some of my red wines as have far too much mature and fine ...... perhaps a bit short on whites, though there's some interesting stuff down there, like decent rhone whites and 2007/2009 mosel + some yquem of "strange" vintages + some very good ..... would like some really good red burgundy, but it's scarily expensive

Have you ever traded ebay, cynic? Seems to be doing quite well and owns PayPal which seems to be a real money spinner for them.

One of those 'if only' stocks! I recently completed my W8-BEN form so am ready to start looking at U.S. stocks. It's gonna take some serious research by the look of it! At least I recognise most of the UK company names!!!

On the 20 June I posted £/$ still had 400 pts to go up. At the time it was at 1.5635.
As long as you use massive stops that position would now be in 240 pts in credit.
By massive I'm estimating 240 pts
easy this trading lark!
