If these US levels hold here, FTSE may open near
S1 at 4357.

I've got this 4357/4360 area as an important
weekly level. If it breaks we should see the 4320/4330 area.

Thanks for the comments. I've had a good couple of days but as the saying goes 'one swallow doesn't make a summer'.

I'm out of the market till tomorrow. Not sure where we go from here.

The trend is still up so I don't like being short for too long in such conditions.

Harlosh just got in and before i went out had a short on which closed out in profit should have left it running-but no need to get greedy.Nice to know someone cares.
Seems range bound today-not much happening at present.

I'm interested in sreading my wings.

I use the etrade demo a/c-which has live graphs. Just sign up for the demo and use it. and use the simulator to learn then place live trades on your real a/c with the s/b co that u use.

not going to be able to make the seminar on friday - shame as i was looking forward to meeting to you - maybe next time eh! Had a horrendous business meeting tonite only to come home to see that my short on the dow got closed at 9890 (a profit of 62 points - theres beginners luck for you on shorting the dow!!!)

Dow more positive today and with mostly good results posted out today so lets see what opportunities arise. Bear these in mind:

Reckon will try to touch 10k again? i think it will but more chance of it retracing lower say 9800 area then consolidate upwards. anyway thats my opinion and what do i know!!!!!

DOW SHORT TERM:-
I think the Dow rally a little too aggresively from yesterday's low of ard 9885 to today's high at abt 10030 - i am incline to think that it's due for a correction. But then again i am a novice trader so any opposing view i am only too gald to hear :>

Quiet here for the open!

NEW YORK (AFX) - The 'Diamonds' , a tracking stock for the Dow industrials , edged up 3 cents to $100.41 in pre-open trading. The Dow rose 86 points to 10,008 Thursday, the first close above the 10,000 level since May 2002. Among Dow components seeing activity ahead of the opening bell, Microsoft edged up 9 cents to $26.70, Wal-Mart added a dime to $52.91, Intel advanced 15 cents to $31.06 and Home Depot was 22 cents better at $34.75.

Just popped in to see the open.
I won't stay to watch. The die is cast and I am not going to be tempted to change my stops etc. I'm practising disciplined trading.

I'm short at 10009 from yesterday.
Glad to see it falling a little from it's highs.
Hope to breakeven soon then move into profit.
