On my old PC, I had plenty of temperature problems. I was advised to clean the inside of the case carefully with an air duster, paying particular attention to the CPU fan. It turned out eventually that the fan on the graphics card was failing. Once that was replaced, all was fine....until the whole PC packed in a few months later!
I understand there's some software out there that can help reduce CPU temperature.
EDIT: Found the link:

MBM has not been developed for a few years, but try
Speedfan which does a lot more besides.
80C is extremely hot if it's correct. Most processors are meant to run around 40C, but some Intel ones and even more AMD ones run much hotter, but I would have thought that 60C is pretty much the sensible limit.
To be honest, if there is no lint in the fans or casing and the fans appear to be running normally I doubt whether the problem is a heat one. Mind you the fans could be running but running too slowly.

My Speedfan report:-
Again something is at 80 degrees. But it can't be anything important as I'd be having real problems I gather.

Maybe this is more meaningful.
Do those chip numbers provide a clue?

You're burning up TP :-)
Seriously, in order to make sense of all that you would need to look into the configuration in much more detail. The CPU temperatures reported by the CPU itself look like 27 and 28, which sound too low, but that would need to be confirmed, and there appear to be two Temp1's. 35C could be right for the motherboard temperature. The other Temp1 is likely to be your graphics card. 82C is not unusual for a graphics card.

Looking at the second screen, that is all probably right.

I'm sure there are better sources, but this is the first I found
temp range 5 - 73.3 deg C.

Google says this in a thread about Speedfan.
"an abandoned sensor from that Super IO IT8718F chip, just untick it so it won't bug you anymore at the main screen."
One last picture from Core Temp this time:-
EDIT. That Core Temp jobby is great fun as I now have two little temperature readings in my task bar. Now I can see how hard I am working!!

Microsoft are now including the browser ballot with Windows update as directed by the EU.
For myself, I am perfectly happy with IE8, but even those people who are not, are perfectly capable of choosing an alternative browser for themselves without having the process forced on them by the Common Market.
If you are running Win XP then the update will be forced on you, my copies of Win 7 have presented the update as an opt in option though I wouldn't count on that not being changed.
If you want to avoid the browser ballot, switch off automatic updates, then run windows update.
In Win XP choose the custom option, and review the important updates, goto the browser update and de-select it. Then click the + next to it and check the 'Don't show this again box'. Continue to install the remaining updates and then re enable auto updates.
In Win 7, click on the important updates link, goto the browser update and make sure it is de-selected. Then right click on it and click hide details. Continue to install the remaining updates and then re enable auto updates.
If you allow this update to be installed, it will unpin IE8 from the Win 7 taskbar and most likely make other changes.

If you want to install alternative browsers or any other free software, I've just found

Opt,
Why don't you like the ballot?
Firefox is my default. Opera is what I use quite a bit of the time. IE is simply sitting there in my quickstart box for the odd time the other two can't read a page. How will the ballot set me back?
That other site you suggest is interesting.

I believe you have the acer aspire one netbook? Did you install Win7 on it? What version and did you have any problems? Did Win7 take care of all the drivers or did you need to look for some? 64 or 32 bit?
Cheers

I have WinXP on mine at the moment. Do you think it will be faster with Win7?
