big vols yesterday at over 13 millions and high again this morning

(AFX UK Focus) 2004-03-29 10:54 GMT:
Scipher sees reduced FY opg loss, sales around 15 mln stg - UPDATE

LONDON (AFX) - Scipher PLC said it expects its operating losses for the year to March 2004 to be lower than those reported last year. It also forecast that revenues for the year will be around 15 mln stg.

Chief executive Rudy Burger said: "We are well on the way towards achieving the turnaround of Scipher's business. There are milestones yet to be achieved, however I am confident that the progress made this quarter will allow us to achieve our goals."

Scipher said it continues to look at options regarding the fundraising needed to complete its restructuring and fund growth in its core businesses.

The company also announced that its secure identification business, TSSI, has been awarded two contract wins with the National Health Service (NHS) totalling 2.5 mln stg.

The first contract, worth 1.5 mln stg, covers a three-year extension to TSSI's NHS smart card systems programme that was originally set up to cover doctors in training. The system is now being expanded to cover a wider group of cardholders including all other hospital doctors and students within medical schools.

The second deal, worth 1 mln stg, is a maintenance contract for a three-year period that covers the existing system installations and the central database management.

Scipher said it is ahead of schedule on its plan to drive the company to profitability, including its disposals programme. It said new management within TSSI has delivered a notable turnaround in business performance.

Assuming that the planned restructuring is completed, the three core businesses -- TSSI, Wavelength and CRL Opto -- are expected to be profitable in the coming year.

News of another part sold off, to help with the streamlining of the company. 3 good sections left and no more draining of cash! this lifted the price a bit last week but nothing can stay up in this red market!! there is light at the end of the tunnel and some quite large buys going through last week---am I the only fan or fool who is sticking with it???

moneyplus - 04 Jun 2004 22:17 - 102 of 110

Hi Ricardo and SIP holders, I've screwed up my courage and bought again today!
I might be mad but I feel there must be some positive news due soon---fingers crossed !! I think there was a buy after market closed of 1.750 000 so maybe I'm right. can't afford a buy of that size though. regards MP

amardev - 05 Jun 2004 00:19 - 103 of 110

Greetings all SIP holders.
Good to hear from you.
I'm still still in there....... with my shed load.
Keep posting, to encourage each other.
More views welcome.
Regards.

moneyplus - 24 Jun 2004 14:29 - 104 of 110

Why all the panic?? Surely if they raise funds to start corporate activity etc. it means they are back from the brink and starting to move ahead? Any comments SIP holders?

ssmush - 24 Jun 2004 16:46 - 105 of 110

if u believe that this co will turn around (i do) then u will have to hold on for at least 6 months, and then reap the benefits. it may crash and burn, but, if they turn it around, then there will be major upside over the next 12 months.

testing times

Stay lucky

ansar - 03 Jul 2004 15:27 - 106 of 110

Hello all Scipher Share holders

AS I HAVE A LARGE SHAREHOLDING IN Scipher I wrote a letter to the CEO asking him about the future of the company the dismal share price and the chances of a recovery.

This was his reply

Please rest assured that I am working diligently to enhance share holders interest in Scipher. Extensive corporate restructuring of the type that has been required by Scipher is always painful process.

Rudolph E Burger 24th June 2004

Judging by the recently falls again in the share price I think that Scipher will be sold. The question is what is the company worth?

This company has been a huge disappointment

moneyplus - 04 Jul 2004 17:28 - 107 of 110

It's certainly painful for us!! If they have turned the corner maybe they need the fundraising to pay for acquisitions, there should be an update due soon. Hang in there!! MP

ansar - 12 Jul 2004 19:53 - 108 of 110

Dear Mp

Thank for the encouragement,

Any idea when Scipher will post their latest accounts, they are certainly overdue.

If you would like to contact Scipher and try and find out what is happening with the share price, you could give them a ring.

Just look on there website.

Personally, I think this lot are a bunch of fuc ... idiots

Any views Scipher holders.
