How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

anyone trading the footie?

As a staunch Arsenal fan i cant lump on Madrid though wouldnt put others off doing so - Senderos in the Bernabau - could be painful, cant understand why Hleb ahead of Pires and Henry could be left alone with only Reyes for support

Hi Steve

I'd love Arsenal to get something out of this game but just can't see it. Will watch for first 10 mins but will probably lump on Real eventually

Oh so close to being one nil up

tempted to back overs if still 0-0 after 15 or 20 mins

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 19:51 - 8915 of 10502

Good start from Arsenal and looks a very open game im glad to say (was worried we would be too negative)

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 19:53 - 8916 of 10502

Another chance for Arsenal and Woodgate off injured after 8 mins - look at them odds change!!!

Henry should have scored

cant keep wasting chances this good

bakko - 21 Feb 2006 19:55 - 8918 of 10502

Should've layed off Real from the start!

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 19:55 - 8919 of 10502

Arsenal gone from 7.4 to 5.2

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 19:56 - 8920 of 10502

looking for overs to get to 2.5

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 20:00 - 8921 of 10502

3 good chances away to madrid in the first 10 mins - get a horrible feeling we could live to regret not taking them

Scripophilist - 21 Feb 2006 20:07 - 8922 of 10502

Arsenal have suprised me with that opening.

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 20:09 - 8923 of 10502

Playing like relegation candidates again :-)

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 20:10 - 8924 of 10502

The worrying thing is is that they have done this in several games this year, started well but not taken the chances then conceded a soft goal

defence does look better with Toure and Eboue back tho Senderos still a huge worry

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 20:18 - 8925 of 10502

well weve survived Senderos first blunder - just a couple more to survive

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 20:49 - 8926 of 10502

Henry you fooking beauty

Harlosh - 21 Feb 2006 21:11 - 8927 of 10502

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 21:21 - 8928 of 10502

Evening John - long walk home? :-)

Arsenal starting to look very tired

bakko - 21 Feb 2006 21:22 - 8929 of 10502

Scalped over 30+ ticks on Arsenal and now green.

Time to brew up and enjoy rest of the game...Come on Gunners!

Fundamentalist - 21 Feb 2006 21:38 - 8930 of 10502

Awesome - im off to get drunk :-)

Harlosh - 21 Feb 2006 21:39 - 8931 of 10502
