RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Evening folks. This is a stock I have been watching for a while, didn't buy in early enough, did expect a fall after the results, so waited and bought yesterday at 23.2. Agree that the long term is healthy and hope the short termers are all but out now. How I wish I'd waited a bit longer though!

Greetings to all holders/traders.
I think the MM's have really upset a lot of RTD fans this week.
Hence it's gone quiet on this thread recently.....
How easy it was for us all to get excited whilst the share price was on the up.
I had 300,000 shares in this last week........... thankfully managed to get out, just in time, without too much of a loss.
It's amazing how you can think more clearly when you can stop worrying about your potential losses.
Overall, this stock has been good to me in the last 6 months.I,like Javed, have
managed to trade successfully.
What of the future, somebody recently asked. The honest answer is 'nobody knows'.
(My opinion only) this share WILL break 'new highs'; however, I see it testing
support at 18.75p before we get there. Sorry chaps (and ladies) but that's my
target before I pile in again.
Meanwhile, let's support and encourage each other and share more views,
particularly when the chips are down.
Regards.

amardev - i agree with what you have said. this thread should be kept alive and encourage and support each other as we all know that rtd is a good company.

nematode - are you still holding? if so what is your strategy. by the way, i never thanked you for your email after we last spoke on here. i accept your apology and dont worry about it. i was unable to reply back to you from maneyam as you have not put in an email address.

i cant see that many moe sellers after today. anyone who is pondering selling will do so before the weekend. i think monday onwards we may see some buying and small price movements upwards.

I had held these and sold way too early (at 16.5p) after thinking it just can't carry on upwards in virtually a straight line - and tried to rectify the loss in extra profits by spread betting long at 25.90 (lack of funds) - OUCH! - still hold the bet and really hope you're wrong amardev in that THIS is bottom ie 20.5-21 but I can see that the selling is still continuing - I need to avoid 19p and then I believe it'll start heading north again

Fred1new - 05 Mar 2004 09:42 - 900 of 2406

Why are there so many "unknown" deals in this share to-day

A lot of them seem to be buys.

jfletendre - 05 Mar 2004 15:57 - 901 of 2406

has RTD turned the corner? A blast of buying now, spread 21.25 - 22.0 - hope so

Douggie - 05 Mar 2004 15:59 - 902 of 2406

..... :o)))))

Scottie - 05 Mar 2004 16:16 - 903 of 2406

Turned the corner jf, just bought back in!

scotinvestor - 05 Mar 2004 16:31 - 904 of 2406

still p???ed off from last 2 weeks on RTD and rest of stock market. These MMs have been playing too many games for too long. Its a good job its a long term investment for me or else i'd physically come down to london and blast these arses off this planet.
When RTD had last results they did the same thing in Sep and carried on from 13.62p down to 9p in early Dec. In other words knocked it down for no reason for 3.5 months. Totally disgraceful behaviour.

About time managers at Collins Stewart and the like were put in jail. Its a good job they r overcrowded plus fact we have a corrupt government

Sigh of relief!

I bought back in too early but now I'm nearly back where I was.

Good luck all for the long term.

Douggie - 05 Mar 2004 22:58 - 906 of 2406

petralva - 06 Mar 2004 10:26 - 908 of 2406

investors you must remember that mms are in to make money like yourselfs, but there strategy is different, like last week because the price was already priced in the share never touched 26p,so when results are out, they start shaking all the panic buyers to sell down to 20.50 thats where there profits are,and now they will slowly walk this up again, where to i dont know! they still have some buyers who payed 27-28p so they want them to stay in,unless there is any more contract news soon,i suspect these will hover around 21-26p for some time to come.

amardev - 06 Mar 2004 15:03 - 909 of 2406

Hi Petralva.............
I share your sentiments too.
The volatility makes it a candidate for traders.
I think I could be tempted on Monday morning, if there is follow through
from Friday afternoon.
Good luck to all holders.

Tokyo - 07 Mar 2004 13:43 - 910 of 2406

Have been away for a while, glad to see that most of the names from this board are still here and holding. I have no need of the cash tied up in RTD for a while, so I'm here to keep you all company for the long term.
Lets hope the future is good to us all.

up 2%, over 2.5 million buys so far today, looks like the interest is still there, lets just hope it keeps up and take RTD up to where it should be

javidshaik - 08 Mar 2004 14:13 - 913 of 2406

What the hell is this? I have been out this morning and got back after lunch to see Sharescope showing 3.06m buys and 1.38m sells. So whats this price drop about then? MM's run out of shares or are they just bored? Please please could someone who has access to level 2 have a look and tell us whats going on.
Thanks

Javid

overgrowth - 08 Mar 2004 22:44 - 914 of 2406

I'm still holding folks, it looks as though RTD will move around the the 20p-26p range for the time being. What will really set the fireworks off is good news on CNP revenues (which was not as great as expected in the recent results) or new contracts in this area.

All the best
