and all that girlie shirt pulling and illegal barging and arguing with the ref ...... usually followed up by a punch-up in the cafes and streets
at least they only gouge your eyes and kick you in the ribs playing rugby .... and then adjourn for a convivial drink in the bar.

I would refuse too play a game if I had a Scandinavian ref because their flipping useless!! Van Bommel produced foul after foul and not one booking but I had to laugh when he booked Henry for a good tackle because that was pathetic!!

Yesh, c'mon, let's talk about football, much more fun than the bloody market at the minute.
Anyway, all 3 teams that come up to be relegated anyone?

Accept defeat like men, they did well to get there but were just not good enough on the day. Whinging and whining like a load of smacked arse spoilt brats only takes away any respect people may have had for them.

Prop - I was in Cardiff and I was gutted too when West Ham lost, on penalties, but at least we bore our defeat with some sort of dignity rather than blame everyone else.
Arsenal and Chelsea have out Man U'd Man U for arrogance and all round mean spiritedness and lack of any sort of sporting principles.
And don't get me started on the way Andy Gray and his ilk boost the 'big clubs' and only ever discuss why the 'big clubs' lost, not why the other team won.
Bastards, the lot of them.

The FA Cup final was great but the fact was that West Ham only scored via an own goal, a goalkeeping mistake and a complete fluke.
The fact that Arsenal said it like it was is not whinging. I'm sure if you were playing and were getting kicked up in the air everytime like Henry was, then you would complain because I would.

Henry to sign new Arsenal contract - report
19/05/2006 07:38
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is poised to sign a new contract with the Premier League club, media reported on Friday.
The French international had been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona, who beat Arsenal 2-1 in the Champions League final on Wednesday. However, he now appears set to stay in London.
"I hope to stay as long as I can keep running," Henry told The Sun. "I couldnt leave the fans, theyre like family.

He was named English Football Writers player of the year last month, the third time he has won the award.
If Henry does re-sign it will be a huge boost to the club ahead of their move to a new stadium next season.
It would have been nice to started in the new stadium with the European Cup but we have a lot to look forward too.

Maybe losing in the final could be a blessing in disguise. I think Henry might have left if they secured the Champions League as he has won every honour at club level, now he has unfinished business after losing in the final!!

Rather than "blaming" the referee, perhaps you should be thanking him for not sending off Eboue in the 22nd minute as well. The team are a disciplinary disgrace led by Wenger. They did do well to get there but they finished the season with nothing which is no more than their brand of intimidation, cheating & conning deserves.

Yes, i agree, thanking the ref for not sending off that brainless keeper AND allowing the goal, that is what he should of done. Wenger the winger is not moaning about the non-foul against eboue that gave the goal to Arsenal and not moaning about the 3 good chances so so-called one of the best players in the world had (henri). I really wanted the English leaque side to win, battled hard, but overall Barca deserved it.

Queen, a mere bagatelle. OK, we hardly know each other, I agree, but can't you just feel the warmth flowing through that keyboard. The humour, the fun, the nights in sharing a copy of the Investor's Chronicle.
It'll be overnight stays at financial conferences soon, just so we can watch the football on the box, you just see if it isn't. Oh how we'll laugh.

Arsenal needed this experience to enable them to win it next year, and with henry staying and a squad reshuffle and buying spree, they will win next time.
C'mon yee Gunners!

barclay - You need to keep all 11 players on the pitch to win in Europe and that will never happen for the dirtiest team this side of Christendom.
