Chaco Resources(CHP)- new oil play (CHP)

grevis2 - 21 Oct 2004 12:55

LONDON (AFX) - Chaco Resources PLC said it is proposing the reverse takeover
of two Paraguayan companies -- Amerisur SA and Bohemia SA -- from Candey SA and
Daniel Sztern in exchange for 27,322,404 new ordinary shares in the company.
It also plans to raise up to 750,000 stg before expenses in a placing of
36,585,365 new ordinary shares.
The company's shares were suspended on Sept 3 and it said it expects this to
be lifted today. It has called an EGM for Nov 15 to approve the acquisition and
placing plans.
Amerisur holds two oil and gas prospecting permits in Paraguay and is the
registered applicant for exploration and exploitation concession contracts over
the same permit areas. Bohemia holds registered applications for an oil and gas
prospecting permit in Paraguay and for an exploration and exploitation
concession contract over the same area.
The exploration areas covered by these three applications comprise a total of
approximately 48,000 square kilometres of the Curypayty and Parana Basins.
Chaco said these basins extend respectively into Bolivia and Brazil, where
commercial oil and gas production has been established for many years from
similar geological sections.

Personally I prefer the old fashioned speaking to a broker. Costs me more but in times of wanting to buy or more so selling in volatile markets I find it's possible to get trades done quickly outside normal market size. Just preference at the end of the day. This alone has saved me quite a bit in the long run.

338261 is a buy but showing as a sell i should know i bought them ,why is it up as a sell, are they allowed to do this, doesn`t seem fair to me as surely it must put off potential buyers.

It is simply the software used by MAM.

It can't actually tell whether your trade is a buy or a sell - it simply deduces it by seeing what price you paid for the share and checking to see whether it is closer to the current bis or offer price and records it against whichever it is closest to.

That is why these things are really only indicative

Pisces, there have been loads of those mis-reportings in the recent trading days. I have also bought more and they showed as a sell. Moneyam's website treats all transactions below the mid-price as sells when it is not unusual to find, as in this case, where someone like say Evolution by a line of stock in (approx. 2m shares) at a lower than market price and then dribble them out over a longer period, making a profit but selling below the mid-price. I reckon that that line must have been, or soon will be, exhausted.

Still good to see the house broker soaking up any sells as one of the highest bidders.

I suspect that an RNS could come out by tomorrow; I know that this stock has been difficult to call on news release but that is my hunch.

bodeng - 16 Nov 2005 11:01 - 907 of 2227

News would be great after the recent drift!

stewart3250 - 16 Nov 2005 12:23 - 908 of 2227

Price starting to move now, its also 3 V 2 on level 2, could be a good afternoon.

Ideal platform now to issue an RNS

Well I think we are all rooting for an RNS now to get this slumberng giant on the move.

I have a private bet with a drinking pal - (only of a couple of beers). that this sp will be 12+ by xmas

We could be on the move big style,

Level 2 :- 6 V 1

M_P_H - 16 Nov 2005 14:07 - 911 of 2227

Well Mr sharesure, the way the price is behaving today I would say your hunch is looking good.

Very firm today, pressing back to the 8p level.

If I recall correctly the last RNS came on a Thursday as well.

bhunt1910 - 16 Nov 2005 16:24 - 912 of 2227

3.7m x trade * 2 - what does that mean - a simple trannnsfer of stock between 2 parties ??

stewart3250 - 16 Nov 2005 16:31 - 913 of 2227

'X' Cross at the Same Price
A transaction was effected as an agency cross or a riskless principal transaction at the same price and on the same terms (this requires one trade report).

pisces - 16 Nov 2005 17:53 - 914 of 2227

sharesure hi, yiu said in a previous post you thought the second colombia deal had been granted, can you give any more info on the deal.
cheers.

Sharesure - 16 Nov 2005 22:48 - 915 of 2227

Pisces, heard a range of figures for the various deals in Colombia; the smallest could be worth up to 10p/share (oil in the ground price), but there are other far larger deals that CHP is trying for. All these were reported at the last AGM as being possibilities. Once an RNS is released I would hope that an immediate asset value and projected asset value (ie oil at the well-head sp) will be possible. At the present time I don't think that CHP is getting full recognition for the Alea deal oil in the ground price let alone any advance on what it will be worth in 4-5months when the oil is at the well-head.
