Provexis Buy at 3.25p - Target 8p (PXS)

peeyam - 08 May 2007 11:30

LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.

Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.

In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.

Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels

As usual, pls do ur own research.

Here is a video comment on iii ...........

Provexis (PXS)
The alternative health industry is huge. It has as many exponents and fans as it does detractors and charlatans.
But here and there is a company which seem to be a sensible player in a more often than not wild world.

So, Provexis and its digestive comfort products might see it make solid movement on the stockmarket.

Due to its wider antiplatelet activity profile, tomato extract compares favourably to aspirin, which is effective in ~70% of subjects

About 50 million Americans take low-dose (325 milligrams per day or less) aspirin to prevent cardiovascular problems. Some do so even though they don't have heart disease or a history of heart attack or stroke, an approach known as primary prevention.http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/11/04/aspirin.risk.heart.attacks/index.html

The technology has been granted patents in the EU, US, Australia, Canada and Mexico, with Japan pending.
Further patents have been filed for the bioactive components of Fruitflow and for other developmental areas
such as deep vein thrombosis and triglyceride lowering.

quite so, but that news is now over a month old and sp languishes ..... hope over expectation says that Provexis will prove its point or whatever it has to do to the European food dictatorship within the next couple of months .... that's probably the same body that says you are only allowed to grow commercially about 10 varieties of apple!
