NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.
They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.
does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

mjr1234,
Interesting BUY rollover, someone is confident!
Or a T trader locked in and hoping for a rise.

Robson, you don't half talk some rubbish sometimes. Face it, this company looks like a con company....

takahe,
But they ROLLED, ie didn't sell, the money is still in the market, and they have yet to pay for their shares!
I wonder what their buy price was?
The price looked weak on friday, and it will be interesting to see if the holders respond with more buys on Monday.
The spread is the killer.

If this company is a con, as you allege, can you explain who might benefit?
I have looked at this possibility thoroughly, as one does with any new project in a benighted area about which there is little background information not provided by the company.
As far as I can see, no-one gains a sausage unless the company achieves an increased share price. Many of the shares in which the non-executive directors are interested have been aquired at prices above those in force today. All outstanding options to non-execs have an exercise price of A$0.20 - about 8p. All options exercised by them since 2002 have been at an exercise price of A$0.20.
Once the share price does rise, the executive directors, Cross and Healy, will begin to benefit from their incentivised options package. The incentives are pretty steep, though, with by far the bulk - 6 million of Cross's options and 5 million of Healy's - dependent on the achievement of a share price of at least 40p, rising in steps up to 55p.
But in order for the price to rise, and any of the board, particularly the execs, to benefit, the company needs to deliver profits and earnings.
In order to deliver profits and earnings, they need to mine and sell diamonds.
If they are mining and selling diamonds, then - ergo - the company is not a con.

Wendy and safehands
I would go a step further than Wendy and say that the company under its present management has clearly applied best endeavours to get a mining operation started, including shipping the earth-moving kit, building roads and negotiating arrangements with the authorities, marshalling the geological effort and setting up production. Hardly actions of con merchants, a la Earthport. Competence may be a different matter and I accept the jury is out on their ability to produce the goods. My main point is that the sp hardly is a fair representation of the proven assets within their domain.
I would also say to safehands that I hold little respect for someone who just 'rubbishes' a serious attempt at analysis without producing a reasoned counter-argument.

takahe,
well it seems that a few ADVFners have changed their names over here, from both sides of the fence, for whatecver reason.
I prefer to use the same name on all BB's.

Andy, I don't post on advfn... am quite new to here
I am sorry about my behaviour, but I sold these bloody things at a big loss last week. To get rid of 150k shares my broker went to 4 market makers. No one wants stock.
I bet i could count the people on one hand that have made money on this stock.
Who knows, a positive rns may change this, but can't see this... what you think??

safe hands,
Sorry to hear about your loss.
NML are due to report progress to date in June, but I think this will be delayed, due to the late comencement of mining.
So no, I don't expect an early RNS to be honest.

Safe hands -
I can understand your animosity towards the company. You bought the stock thinking it was going to make you a lot of money. You have now got fed up and sold at a loss. You have my commiserations.
I will agree completely that there have been unconscionable delays in virtually every aspect of the setting-up of the C9 operation. They are now running approximately 12-14 months behind their original schedule. Though that schedule was hopelessly optimistic - you don't acquire a project in December and expect to have it up and running within 4-5 months. It just doesn't happen! There have been at least two changes of plan regarding equipment, culminating in the acquisition of the Badenhorst fleet and the Badenhorsts themselves. The disruption in site preparation and sampling caused by the rains should have been predicted - but it was not. The extent of infrastructure required should have been predicted - but it was not.
But none of the foregoing makes the company a "con".
In their favour they have successfully - at last - completed a large amount of infrastructure construction, finalised and commissioned the plant, and received the go-ahead from Endiama to commence production.
You say "it won't be the shareholders that will benefit".
If, as you allege, this company is a con, who, in your opinion, WOULD benefit? Who do you think has ripped you off?

Andy..I prefer to use the same name , too..but my usual one was already taken so I had to choose another. Is that a crime?
Sorry..safe hands..I thought you were Broker200. I see you run a thread here on Broker Network Holdings, which is one of his favourites.
Andy..no, it wasn't my rollover but I'm pretty sure I know whose it is, due to a situation running on longer than expected.

Yes I do hold broker network holdings... I have had these for a while and think they are very good. I have only posted on here about 5 times, not sure who the other fellow is you are talking about.
I held the NML poo shares for over a year and a half and I think there are better plays elsewhere... not going anywhere in a hurry in my honest opinion.

A very wise move imo ,with the mms only too happy to sell stock at 3.75p they know that the seller will happily keep feeding them stock at 3pish to fill these buy orders.
As a result these are going no where just the seller filling their boots at the expense of the 3 Blind Mice!!

A bit odd that isn't it?
