Galleon Holdings (GON)

banjomick - 15 Jun 2004 08:48

INTELLIGENT INVESTING WITH BANJO,well sort of! (Ed-hmmmm-lol)

Galleon Holdings plc has three key divisions:Galleon Entertainment for entertainment type IP,Croco Worldwide for product IP,Phoenix for interactive TV services for broadcasters in China/South East Asia which includes Robot Information Technology (Lushy Assets ('Yunbo')) who are a wireless interactive platform service provider in China who will work alongside Phoenix to enable GON to hold on to a greater part of the generated revenue and so increase the profit margin......think that's the plan! :-)

This makes Galleon Holdings a 'One Stop Shop' to develop and complete new and existing IP's.

Results for GON should be announced by end of month which I'm hoping will shed greater light on the Phoenix part of GON.

I am expecting Croco to be involved in a big way regarding Skunk Fu this year, the potential is there now the series is global!

I keep getting this feeling that Apollo's Pad is just a 'tester' for Sokator-442 but if a TV series is announced then and ONLY THEN can you really judge the state of play.A TV series makes AP a 360' product entwining the whole concept,it doesn't work otherwise-imo.

banjomick - 11 Jan 2008 17:56 - 909 of 1609

Relating to Skunk Fu:

Even with seven kids' channels in the country, Cartoon Network and Pogo continue to be #1 and #2, garnering almost 50% of channel shares in 2007! Cartoon Network and POGO accounted for 98 of the top 100 transmissions across all kids' channels in 2007, up from 91 in 2006! Even the highest raters on kids' channels - shows that rate 2+ TVRs - have exclusively been on Cartoon Network and POGO in 2007!

Ad sales for India and South Asia region achieved a new height with 32% growth, of which kids' entertainment grew by 26%, HBO by 16%, CNN by 41% and Cartoon Network Pakistan by 73%!

Our 2008 mission is to continue to blaze the trail and the lead the Industry from the front.

The 8 million placing is obviously keeping the SP steady (watch it dive tomorrow-lol).Final Results were on the 25th last year so maybe we will all get to know soon!

banjomick - 15 Jan 2008 01:40 - 911 of 1609

With Croco going into overdrive last year,GON also holding the global merchandising/licensing rights for Skunk Fu (+ a 15% equity stake) and Phoenix starting to penetrate the China and South East Asia market then anything else is a bonus which will be reflected in the SP-imo.I don't want to mention the Olympics but I just did-lol.

Anyway, still a risky share if you buy in now so wait until results if you fancy a dabble, would be my advice :-)

Best kept as a local share for local people :-)

Skunk Fu toy line ready for debut

Samantha Loveday January 16, 10:16am

IP holder Galleon to show new collection at Toy Fair later this month.
The licensed merchandise line for animated kids show Skunk Fu has been bolstered - with IP owner Galleon planning to debut the toy range at Toy Fair.

The collection has been developed and made in-house by Croco Sourcing Worldwide, a wholly owned subsidiary of Galleon Holdings. Croco is Galleon's long-established manufacturer, having worked with brands such as Pepsico and Kraft Foods amongst others.

The range will consist of collectable action figures, fighting plush, deluxe action figures with added extras, bop bags with sounds and electronic feature plush. It will be supported by extensive marketign across the UK.

"Galleon is a distinctive vertically integrated company that gives us the unique ability to develop a toy line in-house," said Stephen Green, CEO.
"Skunk Fu, already a hit TV series in the UK and US, is poised to become the next phenomenon among children.

"We're excited to bring the brand to licensees and retailers and look forward to forging more partnerships at this year's Toy Fair."

The Skunk Fu licensing drive kicked off last year with a UK DVD deal with Warner Music Group. More licensing deals are to follow with publishing, video games, clothing and apparel partners.

The show airs on BBC1 in the UK and has been sold by TV distribution partner Cake Entertainment to over 100 territories.

First Skunk Fu! Toy Line Has Smell of Success

January 15, 2008

U.K.-based Galleon Holdings Plc will premiere the first-ever toy line for the hit kids animated series SKUNK FU! at UK Toy Fair 2008.

Developed and made in-house by Croco Sourcing Worldwide, a wholly owned subsidiary of Galleon, the range will consist of collectible action figures, fighting plush, deluxe action figures with added play features, a SKUNK FU bop bag with sounds, and electronic feature plush. The line will be supported by extensive marketing across the U.K.

Merchandise licensing for the series debuted last year with a U.K. DVD deal with home entertainment giant Warner Music Group. More licensing deals are in the works with publishing, videogames, clothing and apparel partners, thanks to the strong graphic and martial arts theme of the series.

SKUNK FU! (52x13) launched on BBC 1 in the U.K. in July 2007, where it was the #1 kids show in its time-slot, with a 20% share of the children's audience (source: BARB). The animated series then premiered in the U.S. on CW Television Network's top-rated Saturday morning Kids' WB! animation block on Sept. 22 with strong ratings.

The series has already been sold by TV distribution partner Cake Ent. in over 100 territories to broadcasters including France 5 and Canal J (France), Super RTL (Germany), RAISAT (Italy), ABC (Australia), TG4 (Ireland), SVT (Sweden), RTBF (Belgium) and Cartoon Network (Europe, Australia, Asia, Latin America), among others.

Aimed at kids 6-12, SKUNK FU! follows the adventures of a skunk accidentally dropped into China by a wayward stork as a child. There he has to learn the ways of kung fu from a wise old panda to help the resistance fight against the evil Black Dragon and his army of Ninja Monkeys.

The series is a Cartoon Saloon, Cake Ent. and Telegael co-production for TG4 (Ireland) and SUPER RTL (Germany). All audiovisual exploitation rights are controlled by Cake Distribution and all licensing and merchandising rights are controlled by Galleon Plc. Both Cake Ent. and Galleon Plc are equity owners in the SKUNK FU! property.

Toy Fair is THE industry showcase

No other event brings together so many manufacturers and retailers - from small innovative companies to the big chain outlets, and the latest technological innovations to the best of UK traditions - under one roof to do one thing : successful business.
Toy Fair offers 22,000 square meters of space devoted to the toy, game and hobby business and is the only dedicated toy trade event in the UK. In 2007 it attracted 250 innovative exhibitors who came to meet buyers from the UK and abroad.

Toy Fair is held in a modern and welcoming venue, ExCeL London, and offers a fun and exciting atmosphere in which to conduct the serious business of toys.

'I am expecting Croco to be involved in a big way regarding Skunk Fu this year, the potential is there now the series is global!'

Still a risky share and would wait for results at end of month before buying in unless you enjoy a little gamble of course :-)

ohh and please remember the revenues from merchandising from Skunk Fu won't hit in until later in year!

banjomick - 17 Jan 2008 23:34 - 916 of 1609

Ohhh, forgot to say the Toy Fair starts 30th January and runs to 2nd February.

banjomick - 17 Jan 2008 23:51 - 917 of 1609

What I still find very inteesting (bloody laptop keyboard-lol) is after the 8 million placing at 29p back in October 2007 that obviously has increased the size of the company, that there has been no selling (not of any volume) during this time and after only one announcement ie TV3 deal!

Regarding the few sells of very very small volume and usually first thing in morning which have then sometimes been followed up by a much bigger (but still relatively small) buy over this time, makes it all the more interesting-imo dyor ect ec ect.

Results should be around end of this month.

banjomick - 18 Jan 2008 14:28 - 918 of 1609

well, those trades explain a lot regarding recent SP in-activity.....................not sure exactly why though,as yet-lol

banjomick - 18 Jan 2008 15:06 - 919 of 1609

That 11k made Scap raise the bid so it would appear to me that that big trade has been going through the system for some time and has acted like a blockage-lol.
Therefore normality will return regarding the effect on SP to buy/sells-just my opinion :-)

banjomick - 18 Jan 2008 15:12 - 920 of 1609

I would also suggest that the 53k buy this morning was by someone who knew this was going through today and expects the SP to rise from here, appears strange 53k and then the two 530k's which are then obviously to do with the 1060k...........did that makes sense-lol

banjomick - 18 Jan 2008 15:29 - 921 of 1609

mm's moving now,at last-lol.Should be a blue day methinks :-)

banjomick - 18 Jan 2008 15:33 - 922 of 1609

lol,as if by magic! Also in volume chart that big trade has now turned from blue to black meaning a buy which looks much better.

banjomick - 18 Jan 2008 16:20 - 923 of 1609

What a day! :-)

I digress ,should be a good week or two regarding GON :-)

Edit-after being on chart watch duty I would suggest very good but just my opinion dyor ect ect ect.......hight risk share at these prices but lots of amazing news could follow!
