Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

bugswatters reqd!

moderator3 - 16 May 2003 20:40 - 917 of 7315

mbbcat, problem fixed, Mr Euro posted a whole thread as the initial post of a new thread, which had some strange effects. I shall pass details to those who may want to know :-)

mbbcat - 16 May 2003 20:51 - 918 of 7315

ta, that was impresssive!

Jeroo - 16 May 2003 21:49 - 919 of 7315

Could you highlight the threads that are the most read?

Also, it would be nice to have a *nominate poster of the week* voting button or thread rather than leaving it up to one person to decide.

Jeroo - 17 May 2003 18:51 - 920 of 7315

The futures /FX page is showing a small window with a scroll bar. It's not very easy to read at all using the Opera browser v7.11 and JRE 1.4.1. I've tried viewing the page with a MSIE clone and it works ok with that.

Just a thought but in the early days of Moneyam there was talk about putting the time on the Level 2 screen to show when an entry had been placed on the book. I haven't heard anything more about this for a while and would be interested to know where development is on that enhancement as I believe it would be of great assistance in interpreting the book.
Any ideas on the projected deivery date?
Cheers,
TT

TT,

Thanks for this - we are still looking into it, but I will keep you posted

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but when you display a thread the epic assigned to the thread is not shown. This can cause confusion, eg in the current BLM thread.

Thanks Kaj,

It has not been mentioned before, but I will look into it.

I still find the ADVFN BB thread list much easier to visually scan. It has to do with the line spacing/font size. On my screen page I get 27 lines from ADVFN and 33 from AM. The density of print makes it very difficult to read. I have to scan the lists several times before I find what I am looking for.

MightyMicro - 21 May 2003 22:23 - 926 of 7315

Haystack: Well, we provide more information on a page, it's true. Do you need new glasses, mate? ;-)

No, I can read the thread list OK. It is the density of text that's the problem. It may also have something to do with the thread titles being underlined. It is probably just a personal preference thing. I suppose I could always write a preprocessor script and reformat it before displaying it. That would probably be going too far though.

Is your stockwatch still not working and if so what exactly is happening?

Limpsfield - 23 May 2003 08:11 - 930 of 7315

My streaming isn't working - it stopped yesterday afternoon. I get the message not connected, please refresh but that doesn't work

Thanks

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 May 2003 08:13 - 931 of 7315

Limpsfield,

it should all be working fine as there are no problems with the streaming at this end. Have you made any changes to your pc settings recently?

Ian

Kayak - 23 May 2003 08:22 - 932 of 7315

Ian, could you give streaming charts a bit of a push?

edit: actually, monitor too.

Limpsfield - 23 May 2003 08:25 - 933 of 7315

IanT

As far as I know, all I did yesterday was "Disk Cleanup" which deleted some temp files etc.

Kayak - 23 May 2003 08:27 - 934 of 7315

Ian, I wasn't trading yesterday afternoon but thinking about it it was the same as Limpy, the red light came on at some stage.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 May 2003 08:28 - 935 of 7315

what were you looking at kayak - level 2 or level 1 or both?

And is it ok at the moment?
