In the recent Agm the chairman said "the company has made a positive start to the financial year and the board remains optimistic about prospects for the business."
Pre-tax losses have also nearly halved from 6.4 mln to a loss of 3.4 mln on cost cutting. They have also had a successful fund raising.
Also chart indicators show that it may be time for the next leg upwards past recent resistance at 7.5p. and please remember you are responsible for the timing of your own buying and selling actions.

These are the interesting bits:
"The Company has also now been advised that New Opportunity Investment Trust
(NOIT), has fully exited its position in the Company as part of its fund
closure. Therefore, this overhang has been removed"
"As a result the Company is now in a better position to generate profits than atany time since it went public in October 2000"
"Banking has continued to move towards a full implementation of chip and pin. IDData has been rated by the Nilson report as the world's 6th largest supplier ofEMV (Europay, MasterCard, Visa) smart cards and is busy building its
opportunities throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. We expect continued
sales development in this exciting market"
"Government has been a major focus for your Company. The proposed ID card
introduction in the UK represents a significant opportunity and, as the largest
supplier of smart cards to the Government, we would expect this to assist us in
our positioning as a key component supplier to this significant deal, assuming
the Government gains approval for the card"
"As noted by our Chairman, the future now is about exploitation of our product
and service offerings. We have now established an eastern European sales base
in Latvia and are actively recruiting a distribution team throughout EMEA to
assist us in getting our branded solutions to market"

Think all those buyers @ below 1p are going to be busy taking a 20/30% profit after which we will see small but steady gains?

Artis ID wants to enter new markets
22:05, 30 listopada 2005
Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) Today, the supervisory board of Artis ID, the joint venture of Ortis printing house from Bydgoszcz (44.5 percent) and plastic cards producers: Argo Card from Gdansk (11 percent) and British ID Data (44.5 percent) is taking key decisions.
This means moving ID Data production from British facilities to Bydgoszcz. The British company would like to do that, Jadwiga Mojzesowicz-Bilewska, Artis ID CEO said.
ID Data plans to increase the capacity of the Polish plant from 150m to 250m cards a year within 15 months. The production line already in operation, may produce 150m cards a year. Today, Artis produces only cards with magnetic and signature stripes with holograms for such clients as Tesco, Warta or PSE. However, the company considers to launch production of banking cards.
This decision will also be made today, Jadwiga Mojzesowicz-Bilewska added.
ID Data and Argo Card will distribute the cards produced by Artis ID. The employment in this company is to rise from 35 to 120 people. In its first financial year, the company plans to produce 40m cards and reach at least break-even and sales of PLN 7-8m (EUR 1.8-2m). In the next three years, production should amount to 70m a year, and net income of PLN 2-4m is expected against PLN 14-20m of sales. Artis capital amounts to 1.8m.
(PLN 1 = EUR 0.256)

Does anyone have any idea what price these cards are sold at...is it 10p...1p...what??....150 million cards at 10p a card ??...thankfully, an easy sum..15 million just on the cards alone. That's without any other bit's and pieces/systems/design sold...and then rising to 250m cards a year. Almost double the capacity.
Any thoughts.

In my experience with ID, a simple swipe card is about 10-13p depending on order volume, so good guess Mr Mole!
Banking cards are more, but that is because the chip alone can cost upto 1.

Thanks for that fancyfootwork....I'm guessing the margins are quite tight though. Wonder what the costs to produce are?? They'll be cheaper in Poland methinks!
