Ian - any plans in near future to bring out a level 2 combining LSE with chi and turquoise? I see IG have just brought it out in connection with it's CFD DMA platform and I hear that GNI will do so in January. That will leave MoneyAM/Etrade as the odd one out among the "big three" CFD DMA providers.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 Nov 2009 08:25 - 97 of 152

Isaacs,

We have no plans at the moment,

Ian

Isaacs - 17 Nov 2009 09:53 - 98 of 152

OK thanks for the response Ian. With IG and GNI going down that route might be something you should think off. Seems to be quite some benefit for direct access traders. Personally wouldn't like to be forced to ditch Etrade/Money AM for that reason.

Bullshare - 17 Nov 2009 13:24 - 99 of 152

Isaacs. As we understand it Etrade via Saxo do not buy/sell the underlying through either Chi-x or turquoise so thats why they dont need the display. Ig will do, so will GNI.

Isaacs - 17 Nov 2009 17:47 - 100 of 152

IG has just started for DMA. GNI doesn't yet although will do early next year (at the moment they will via telephone dealing but not online DMA.) It does seem to be the direction things are going though so I imagine it won't be long before ET offers the same as benefits are significant on some stocks and they will then want level 2 to tie in with that. (I have been talking to ET today about this and it seems they might be doing some underlying through chi-x and turquoise although not clear to me that on DMA or instead other CFDs or straight equity. Still trying to clarify. In any case they did say to me that MAM level 2 was not showing the full picture of price and liquidity that they could offer through the platform. How long before they want a level 2 service that does?)

I think we just should give up Isaacs.

(unlimited full access - including exchange fees).
what does this mean?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 18 Jan 2010 07:08 - 109 of 152

paulpa,

exchange fees refers to the exchange fee that we have to pay to the LSE for the access - this is all included in the price with no hidden extras.
