The changes in the calling card market have largely happened during this year. It has become a price war now. The margins must be getting smaller.

Jan/Feb/Mar 2005 considerably improved. ......
And now people are trying to tell us that things have suddenly got worse
in Apr, May and June.............LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

The changes in revenue steams take quite a time to come through. EVS are in the wholesale calling card market and must be getting pressure to reduce their prices. When I ask the shops about their cheap calling cards and the reducing prices they tell me that they are getting them cheaper all the time and suppliers are competing on cost to get their business.

Lord B,
I presume you are responding to "it" .
Just squelch the muppet mate, your wasting your time, just looks like your talking to yourself.
Nobody gives him the time of day here, it's better that way!
Feel free to do the same, we all know EVS is the dogs b*****cks when it comes to investing in small caps.
They all have their risks, but this one seems a nailed on cert given a little bit of patience.

Agreed. I am not engaging it and will continue to ignore over here.
However, I think it is important not to leave unchallenged unresearched and unsupported speculative posts designed to deramp.Having said that this is a pleasant board and I will refrain from posting anything which might provoke.

plenty of buyers early on seems to only nudge the price up tempted to take t20 before results as think they will be good 4 out of the six months were confirmed at
the agm and two/thee out of the last six were not that good so on that basis 4 good and 2 perhaps average month will lead to pretty bumper profits mkt cap only 10-12m so how far can they go downside farly limited IMHO upside might not be

Think one is missing the point here - The other which are trying to sign people up to cheap calls are national and local calls only for a set fee a month, and do not include international calls. If one wants a quality services with absolutely no catches and NO HIDDEN costs then CCR is the answer. There is
NO connection fee,
NO charge until you are connected,
NO messages to say all lines are busy.
NO prefix number to dial
NO run down expense of telephone cards, once when one has started to use.
Mind you if you want a cheaper service with catches there are plenty around,
but are they really cheaper in the end, and do they provide good quality service.
For those who like cheap food - try MacDonalds
For those who like quality food - try The Four Seasons chinese resturant in Queensway.

Most of the cheap calling services are cheaper than CCR. The international and the national ones.
I use www.18866.com and pay 2p connection charge and that's it for national calls. There is not even any per minute charge. Just before it connects there is an announcement that says 'this is a free phone call".
All I have to do is dial 18866 before the call.
CCR cannot beat that.
For International calls most of their prices are cheaper than CCR as well
This service and www.1899.com have a large following on this BB. There are a number of people here who run companies and use the services for their business calls.

One would think that CCR was the whole of the EVS business, but in fact it is just an add on, and any profit which will come through in the end will be a bonus.
Trading statement next week should be enlightening.
I agree with annbar - that it is a shame that a, p and q have not posted for a while, but advfn.com are removing very quickly any unwanted posts, so the person doing these posts is just wasting his time. In the end he will realise this and stop posting, and do something more productive with his time.

CCR may be a new smaller part of EVS, but as a startup business it must cost money to run. EVS said that they expect CCR to be profitable within 18 months. Thatis more than a year away. It was only an estimate anyway. Until then it must impact on the profit level of the rest of the company.

Mufmitz - 13 Jul'05 - 15:18 - 1288 of 1288
guru11 - you must be mad! Your kind of unreality only goes with madness. Do you know what RoE means? It means 'return on equity' and the figure for EVS is minus 66%. This means that if you give them a quid they will lose 66p of it and give you back 34p! How do you think EVS will generate 6 figure profits for you given that fact? You should also check the operating margin of EVS. It stands at minus 2%. You must lock yourself in to some of these figures and try to understand them. Confidence and generalised euphoria must be based on something!!!!!!
