This stock looks like the most undervalued oil company on the stock exchange. >
Sefton Resources epic SER. It is currently trading at a price of 0.275p valueing the whole company at just 4M.
You might look at the market cap and assume that this company is just an explorer or a shell, but in fact Sefton is producing over 6000 barrels of oil per month with a monthly revenue of over $300k. It's recent work on it's Tapia oilfield exceeded expectations, meaning the company hit it's 200BOPD target 5 months early, and is now expecting resource and production estimates to be further upgraded. This is before it embarks on a steam-assisted programme early next year which
could see production rates multiplied 2-4 times! It is also looking at drilling further wells on the rich Tapia field in the light of the better than expected results.
So why is it only valued at 4M? The primary reason is lack of awareness of the stock, the sub-1p price puts many people off straight away, and a large overhang.
A year or so ago the company was put in financial dire straits by a
well blowout and had to undertake large discounted placings to get
itself back on track, which it has done with a vengeance. However,
some of these placing shares, which represent some 25% of the company
are being sold into the market, depressing the price so that despite the fact that the companies prospects have improved dramatically over
the past year, the price has dropped by nearly 60%.
This makes the company an absolute bargain at these rock-bottom prices. In 6 months time I expect this to be worth 3-5 times the current price. SERIOUSLY.
There is plenty of research to get your teeth into, the best place to start is the website :
www.seftonresources.com
There are 2 excellent articles on Sefton on the following website by Ian Mclelland (Jan/Feb 2006) - well worth a read to get up to speed on this company and it's prospects:

Bonsoir mes potes ...Mores the pity that MRJ has not re-appeared to apologise for his libelous remarks ..Has he been banned ? or more appropriately simply warned that his comments are both erroneous and often very misleading; and thus inappropriate to the thread . ...l seem to remember another poster similar to him called PM1 whose modus operandi was exactly the same but reg SEO ......( i) lnitially bolster & ramp the share in question . ( ii ) Berate and insult those who disagreed with his own analysis which often culminating in his burying his head in the sand and childishly "squelching " them ( iii) when questioned about specifics he always ignores them , changes the subject and prattles on about an irrelavent matter often resulting in his sudden disappearance .....Only to re-appear another name, l submit . . ....ln my opinion multiple alias should be disallowed. lt invites the very duplicity which should be driven from this board .THIS is NOT ADVFN !!!..........Furthermore if he cant learn to listen to others point of view he should not be contributing to such a forum . And never forget theres always someone cleverer than yourself out there !! .......As for SER : Trading has been quite intense of late and one wonders if the massive overhang @ 0.25p has been erradicated or at least diluted . . For only then will this be factorised into the share price .... But at least we are heading in the right direction ! .0.5 seems to be where the bridgehead of support lies . Hopefully acting as a springboard to fivefold the current s/p . SER is not a mere EXPO as its current value implies but rather a small expo/ producer with sufficient monies from current operations to finance and enhance both current and planned projects ......Mickey. You are so right when you state the company and its so called PR people seem very reluctant to keep shareholders informed . Bonne chance /..,,a'bientot .....@+ J,,, ,,,,

Amities / Salut mes amis ...Perhaps DRIVER should reiterate his posting as regarding "ramping " and the "pumping and dumping " procedure for the benefit of THIS board. lt was an excellent post and looking at some of the awful speculative investments bought recently by newbies cannot be said to often without being of benefit to an army of green inexpierienced speculators !! . !!!! Over to you Driver ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,@+ J

I visit this thread every day, more than once, and I am very intrigued how most of you seem to get great encouragement from movements in the share price. Encouragement from what might come to pass in the fairly near future, I can understand. Derampers get massacred the moment they post and it seems as if nobody wants to face a realistic, or even, the worst scenario.
I'm only a very small PI but I get a kick out of my holding going up 50 for a tick-up of one-hundredth of a penny in the SP (I don't need to mention the downside of course!). You will get bigger kicks, I'm sure.
The only price I'm interested in is the bid (as I'm not looking to add) and the closing bid over the last few days has been 43, 47, 50, 48, 47, 47, 45, 43, 40. I'm making no comment about the absurd wild swings in the size of the spread, as that makes matters worse. This adds up, to me, to a colossal disappointment - which is why I can't really appreciate the very positive stance that most of you take. I know it's a comfort, but even so. For the first time in several months I am now showing a small loss.
For obvious reasons I want you all to be right but it's taking its time in coming!

There is something a bit funny about this one. I mentioned a while ago that I could not find the production graph I used to find on their website. MJR came straight back and said it was there, I looked again and couldn't find it. This made me more cautious on the stock. Its probably my weak computer skills but I'll not be happy with this one again until I see the production graph again. Any one seen it?

Amities ..Confidant . l dont know about old eyes but i have 20/20 vision and couldnt read a solitary word until magnified to maximum . Awful presentation for a Public company ...Glancing through the consolidated statement of stockholders funds am i correct in my deduction that SER has an overhang in excess of over 750 million odd shares . Thats some overhang. Quite daunting, many would say . Most recently 393m shares were up fpr placement ; and only 10 million were taken up . ,Hardly a vote of confidence ,,,,and yet perversely the news from the drill bit paints quite another picture ............... Not only are they cash generative ;but progressively ,,,Reg the much publicised well blow out @ about 6p they have emerged victorious from arbitration with no incurred costs and even awaded royalties from the Tapai field and an apology . The spin off of TEG of Canada is the potential jewel in this crown which is a subsidiary of SER and ,who have discreely and quietly, forging ahead with relationships at both national and regional level with lucrative j/vs with Chinas best will surely justify both a re-rating for SER and a boost in what is a derisory share price tethered by mms whims . ............TEG j/v could be the very making of this company called SER ...as i dont see such an overhang of current SER stock being eliminated for a long time . But i have a sneaky feeling this management could juste about sort this utter mess out . ........................................................................As i said it will be a long but rewarding journey- i hold myself - ,,,,but dont forget every geat journey starts with the first step .........................MRJ .l suggest you are a total fraudster... Ou est vous tu saluud..hehe cessede perdre ton temps et mets-toi au trevail tu voyou. ...@+ bien amicalment /bonne chance / ......@+ J.

There's not even a decent row on this thread, something to break the monotony.

I want to buy this share but the overhang worries me, is there a way to calculate how long the overhang might keep this stock down?
Over the long term this stock is a gem, i have no doubt it will be a ten bagger if
it is valued on a P/E of other oil producing companies, if it doesnt we will be looking
at a 100% dividend which i cant see happening, the arbitragers will make sure of that, which justifys my medium term ten bagger theory.
My only concern is dollar depreciation as this is a US stock with dollar earnings, and the dollar has had it's day. Will this impact on the SP in the future?
