Interactive TV Agreement with Metropolitan TV and CH 9
Galleon Holdings plc, the AIM-listed intellectual property owner and developer
in the entertainment sector, is pleased to announce that its Hong Kong based
media solutions company, Phoenix Investment Global Limited ('Phoenix'), has
signed an agreement with Malaysian TV stations Metropolitan TV Sdn Bhd and CH-9
Media Sdn Bhd.
Under the terms of the deal, Phoenix will receive a fee for the supply of its
multi-platform interactive system to Metropolitan TV Sdn Bhd and CH-9 Media Sdn
Bhd. It will also receive ongoing management fees and a revenue share on
related activities, as a part of a multi-year service agreement to provide SMS
gateway, interactive advertising and SMS campaign management. Metropolitan TV
is Malaysia's third-largest TV channel, targeting the urban and ethnic Chinese
audience. Ch9 now ranks second in viewership ratings, and is focused on
delivering programming for the mass and ethnic Malay market.
On 23 October 2007, Galleon announced the acquisition of Phoenix, and as a
result of Phoenix successfully completing the agreements announced today a
deferred consideration is now payable to the vendors of Phoenix which will be
satisfied by the issue of 1,621,272 new Ordinary Shares which will represent
approximately 1.63 per cent. of the enlarged issued share capital in the
Company. The new shares will be fully paid upon issue and will rank pari passu
in all respects with the existing Ordinary Shares. It is anticipated that the
deferred consideration shares will be admitted to AIM on Thursday 24th January
2008.
Phoenix specialises in the provision of cross-media interactive broadcast
television services in China and South East Asia, which allow broadcasters to
provide interactive entertainment that audiences can access through TV, online
and mobile phones. Phoenix's customers include leading broadcasters such as
Hunan ETV, Hunan Satellite, Guangdong Sports Channel (China), and Media Prima,
comprising Channel 9, Metropolitan TV and TV3 (Malaysia).
Commenting, Stephen Green, CEO of Galleon, said:
'Phoenix has made very good progress and we are continuing to develop the
business in line with our strategy to provide a strong multi-media entertainment
platform into the main emerging markets in the Far East.'

Galleon Holdings is to debut a Skunk Fu! range at Toy Fair in London later this month. The range is produced by Croco Sourcing Worldwide, a wholly owned subsidiary of Galleon, and will consist of collectable action figures, fighting plush, a deluxe action figures assortment with added play features, Skunk Fu! bop bag with sounds, and electronic-feature plush, and will be supported by marketing across the UK.
Skunk Fu! licensed merchandise debuted last year with a UK DVD licensing deal with Warner Music Group. Licensing deals are to follow publishing, video games, and apparel categories.

So,what have we got?
1 Skunk Fu-GON own 15% of this IP and own the global merchandising and licensing rights (except for German speaking countries).Skunk Fu is or is about to be shown in every major country in the world.GON have already licensed the DVD rights for the UK and is due for release March 2008.The merchandise range is being shown for the first time at the UK Toy Fair at end of this month.
2. Croco Worldwide is fully owned by GON and has the specialised design, manufacturing and operational capabilities to take an idea from concept through to market (see official announcement over 2006/07).
3. Phoenix-specialises in the provision of cross-media interactive broadcast
television services in China and South East Asia which basically covers TV,Internet and mobiles including SMS (see todays announcement and previous).The 2008 Olympics may be beneficial..........or not!
4. Final Results were on the 25th January last year so are due anytime where an update on other IP's will or should be given.

Just had a quick look at Metropolitan TV and their main station appears to be '8TV',this is the Malaysian TV station Phoenix completed another interactive deal with which was announced on the 21st January 2008.
Back to me decorating :-(
