Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Exec,
She is the only hope the tory party has.
Unless you want the undertaker Rees Mogg, or stab in the back Boris for your next leader.
Dil would vote for them with you.

Don't get angry, Doc. Life's too short, and I wouldn't want you to blow a gasket and be unable to vote in the second referendum.

Fwiw, I think Brexit started to go wrong on 25th June 2016. Instead of triggering Article 50 on that day, as he should have done, and as the majority who voted for Brexit expected him to do, Cameron chose instead to resign.

Never believed in god, but thank god Cameron retired.
Now we want another tory incompetent to step up and say Brexit was a mistake.
What is needed is to spell out what the probable effects of Brexit will be, hold a general election and have another referendum with the information "clearly" exhibited.
We don't really want to commit suicide, although I wouldn't stop a few from trying to do so.
I suggest Dil for PM and Cynic as a foreign minister.

A general election ????
Do you not get that both the labour and tory party hold diverse views within them - what good would a general election be?

ff so you can walk in front of either of them with your placard.
Maybe Vince's new party would be a better choice for you.

Economic growth in Euro area of only 0.3% in last quarter. It really isn't in any position to make matters worse by creating difficulties with the UK. Factory orders in Germany have fallen for the 4th month in a row.
As for a second referendum or another election, they are not going to happen. Corbyn is more keen than May to quit the EU.

Who were Remain? A single party? A single group? Was there agreement on what would be renegotiated/direction? What was the timescale for change?

Do you reckon Sky News is being financed by Soros? Every time I happen to look at it, it seems to be having a knock at Brexit. The deep state is alive and very busy. That includes that ludicrous definition of Brexit that Exec put up. I wonder who came up with that piece of sneering twaddle. May has made it clear: Brexit means Brexit. :(

Doc,
"Brexit Definition: The undefined being negotiated by the unprepared in order to get the unspecified for the uninformed. "
That sounds very much like a realisation that you've been lied to?

Iturama,
"Do you reckon Sky News is being financed by Soros?"
I did warn you months ago that Soros was a serious threat to Brexit. Are you attending any of his events this summer?
"May has made it clear: Brexit means Brexit."
The only thng clear to Maggie Dismay is that she doesn't have a Commons majority, her party is divided, and there's a vote coming up in the autumn which she might not get through.
Didn't she also say something once about delivering 'stong and stable government'? Ooops. That went t!ts up.
Dil,
How many days now till you decide to stay?

The simple fact is :
During the referendum the majority of the people voted to leave the EU.
The is the very definition of democracy.
To hold a 2nd vote, a remoaners vote (sorry peoples vote).......... it simply tells the world that the UK no longer believes in democracy and will hold rigged elections until a certain minority gets the result they want.
I suggest the remoaners look to Mugabe or other "elected" leaders to learn how to rig votes and get their way....................
The vote is done - its over. Embrace the result. The UK is leaving the EU - and if its no deal, then its no deal - no divorce payment - bye bye - and hello Rest of the World.

So if 80% of the population has reviewed their position and decision at the time of the last referendum or election their wishes have to be ignored because of a previous decision.
If they thought of committing suicide they have no right to change their minds.

I am glad I have never made any mistakes.

Hilary, my theory is that Sky are being nice to you Europeans in the hope that you stop throwing cups of pee at Chris Froome. Must be difficult down there with the Brits dominating the Tour.
As for May, maybe would have been a better name. Even our constituency chairman has told her to man up.

Being a Remoaner you surmise that the majority of those who have 'reviewed their position and decision' are Leavers, that may not be the case.
Talking of Remoaners I see your bible has an interesting article that has them in a panic.
As the majority of voters voted to Leave the EU, how the Elite, the Luvvies and the Democracy hating Remainers have the temerity to call their campaign the People's Vote, just goes to show what they think of the average joe and democracy.

The suicide is the vote, deciding to or not is the debate before the vote.
